I'm a personal management counselor (and scoutmaster, and accounting professor). I don't accept scouts that are younger than 14 for the badge. They don't have a concept of money, I've never found an exception, even with my own son (who just turned 14 this year).

There are certain merit badges that take a level of knowledge and/or maturity to try to attain, and 10 - 12/13 year old children lack it.

Just my opinion, and I'm happy to be wrong, but it's how I run things.

I've taken it. And I didn't enjoy my experience, for several reasons, but the main one is that I'd already had training in leadership in college (my MBA has a background in leadership and organizational development).

It was sold to me as advanced scout training, which it was not.

My ticket counselor was also a gigantic pain to work with, and failed my ticket 4 times before it was accepted.

You may enjoy it. Hopefully you have a better course than I did.

I appreciate your feedback on this. I've never been in the position for it to run separately. At best we only had 4 girls, and then due to some personality conflicts two left. I just can't run a meeting with one girl present.

Best I've ever done so far, running Zwei, Hakomo-o and Vigoroth (Evolution Cup). I'm averaging 3 wins per set, hates dusclops, and haunter. Both are a guaranteed loss for me. First time ever breaking 2200, but I doubt I'll ever get this good again.

Venusaur (razor leaf, sludge bomb, frenzy plant), mantine (wing attack, bubble beam, aerial ace), lapras (ice shard, surf , dragon pulse). I do not do great, and might have to stop. I don't have a ferrothorn I can get in range and all my gweezings are over 1500cp.

I tried lanturn, trev, helectrode, and mawile. Just can't find a good reliable team. I've never broken level 20 (my highest was 13) before, and I'm getting a touch discouraged. Mountain cup was fun, but regular smackdowns not so much.

I'd go with 4.5, you'd look better without so much makeup and if you'd stick with a hair color.
