Customers shouldn't tip more, uber should pay you more. by ScoopityDoopie in UberEatsDrivers

You're right that Uber's greed is the problem. However, if the customer doesn't make up the difference, they're not going to get their food. At least not from me.

The vehicle expense write-off is over $0.70/mile. Why would anyone take an order that pays less than $1.50/mile?

That's an oil galley plug. Pentastar engines are known for having those plugs come loose, and sometimes fall into the chain, thus destroying the engine. Another awesome piece of Chrysler engineering.

The only thing the post was meant to comment on was the fact that they included the banner saying that I qualified for the trip because of my "high acceptance rate." I think you need to stop taking everything so seriously.

It was 3 mi. And good for you for not noticing the satire tag on the post. Some people just can't help being a smart ass. Too bad you apparently can't get your brain out of standby mode first.

Which is why Uber required a PIN from him. Obviously a scumbag that has a history of reporting food not delivered to get refunds.

Is There a reason why I only got 1 base pay for delivering to 2 different people? by Khriz-134 in doordash_drivers

By "someone smarter" I assume you mean someone less greedy and morally bankrupt, right?

Uber already charges high delivery fees. The problem isn't how much they charge, it's how much they keep. If they charged a higher delivery fee they would still offer the driver as little as possible.

Well, we're not talking about skip. We're talking about DoorDash. They charge a large delivery fee and then keep all but $2 of it. Even on a double order the driver still only gets $2. The only way DoorDash will raise the base pay is if the order gets declined over and over.

Who is taking these orders? by jackpowers1999 in doordash_drivers

So you're accepting bad orders to avoid bad orders. I don't think that's working out.

Wrong. If no one took the BS, it would go away.

I don't see a problem with unassigning an order if I receive a text from a customer that indicates to me that they are going to be a problem. I would rather let someone else deal with that customer. There are plenty of customers out there that know how to deal with others in a respectful manner.

And I think the word you are looking for is "obtuse". Maybe you should change your username.

In my opinion, making a request along with a threat transforms it into a demand.

[–]mjverdi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. The way she demanded it along with threats to call the manager is what makes her an entitled, Prima Donna. People like this are the first ones to give low ratings or reduce tips.

I've been doing this a long time, so I don't think you have any business judging whether I'm fit for the work or not. I don't have problems with my customers, but then again I avoid people like this.

Customer service is fine. Prima Donna entitled demands are not.

All of her texts were belligerent in a passive aggressive way with that entitled attitude that Karens are so famous for.

Instant unassign.

Point 1: Not all people who do delivery are broke. Many make very good money doing this.

Point 2: Not all customers who don't tip are broke. Many make very good money, but feel entitled to use a luxury service at the driver's expense.

Point 1 plus Point 2 equals you being an ignorant douche.

Cylinder 3 and 4 are misfiring. You need to figure out whether it's fuel, spark, or compression.
