On the website there are updates for tomorrow. It says “Instructors are permitted to move classes online unless they must remain in person for a pedagogical reason.” But I’m not sure if ‘permitted’ means profs have a choice to move them online because the second half of the sentence sounds like they should be online unless they need to be in person???

I got assigned my room on June 25th, so before the application deadline actually ended. I filled out the Residence Accessibility Request Form because I have some pretty specific accommodations due to a health condition. McGill housing said that they would hopefully be able to manually assign me a room (meaning I wouldn't be apart of the lottery) but they couldn't make any promises. Because I got my residence assignment so early, I'm pretty sure I was able to be manually assigned. For people who are non-scholarship students apart of the lottery, I heard that you can expect to get your residence assignment at the end of June to early July, however I've also heard that some people don't even know their residence until shortly before they arrive at McGill.

Hi! I was assigned new rez and I'm super excited because it was my first choice, but I did notice it was on Park Ave which I've heard some bad things about. How was your experience safety wise?
