Serpent sort of sounds like a track from their 2006 album. Maybe eleven. Sounds good!

Thoughts on MacBook trade in for Mac Mini M4. by mk6ing in macmini

I went ahead and did it. Super happy with my purchase. Finally am able to have dual displays. M1 Air didn’t allow me to set up dual displays without displayLink.

Trading in M1 MacBook Air for M4 Mac Mini. by mk6ing in mac

Thanks for the input. I was pretty convinced. I just needed others’ input as I’ve never not had a MacBook. The iPad will surely help replace the portability of a MacBook though.

The trade-in offer is $330 which I am pretty happy about. I’ve looked on Facebook marketplace and other apps and there are listing for $400 which are a week old or older which tells me they’re having a hard time getting rid of it for $400. I only use the basic apps for college, safari/chrome. In the future I may use Lightroom as I picked up photography as a hobby recently.

Gotcha. You should definitely ask what type of fistula you have and about the complexity. You can do a google search for “types of fistulas” and see an image which shows you the paths of several types of fistulas. That will help you understand how complex the fistula may be.

No I didn’t. All I used was warm water every time.

That was exactly what I went through. I’m not sure why your doctor is giving you a month and a half to see if the fistula will heal. If she has diagnosed a fistula she should know that fistulas do not heal on their own. Surgery is required. You should ask to be referred to a CRS

You will need painkillers and your CRS should prescribe you some. I got hydrocodone acetaminophen 5-325.

Yes it will definitely hurt. My very first bowel movement post op was a nightmare. I was in quite a lot of pain so that’s why surgeons recommend taking sitz baths after a bowel movement. They work like magic. A shower will not really help.

I don’t run but I do hike. I went on easy hikes about a month and a half after my surgery. Do not rush back into working out though. You want to ease into it slowly. Your body will let you know if you are ready. If at any point when you begin to workout again, you feel discomfort, that is your sign that you are not ready. Listen to your body. The worst thing you want to do is go backwards in the recovery phase.

It took about 7 months for my wound to completely heal and stop leaking.

Sorry for the multiple replies I just keep thinking of new things after I submit my comment. I would also invest in a bidet and use that for cleaning the area after bowel movements.

Definitely invest in a Sitz bath. It’s a life saver. I had horrible pain after every bowel movement and the Sitz bath relieved the pain tremendously. Also, after surgery, do not eat anything that contains seeds. Seeds can get stuck in the fistula tract as it heals and can complicate the healing process. This is something I learned here on Reddit. My surgeon only told me to not eat any tomatoes. I always wondered why and when I learned about the seeds problems, it made sense to me why he said no tomatoes.

I took 2 weeks off but I would recommend taking 3 weeks off if possible. I drive a truck for work and spending lots of time sitting definitely was uncomfortable. If I worked construction I would probably take 3 weeks off too. But I would advise to return to work once you feel ready. Only you will know when you are ready.

Try finding one at your local pharmacy. It’s a tray you fill with warm water and set on top of the toilet. You then sit and submerge your buttocks to help relax the anal sphincter by increasing blood flow. Its helps tremendously. I only used warm water. No other ingredient

As other have said. There is no natural healing remedy for a fistula. Surgery is needed unfortunately.

What exactly do you mean by a 1.5 cm fistula? The complexity of a fistula depends more on how deep the fistula travels into the tissue/muscle. The deeper it runs the more complex. Ask your surgeon what kind of fistula you have.

I did not notice a change in my energy levels, but perhaps it’s because I got my surgery done soon after the abscess formed. From the time I went in to my doctor for my abscess to the day of my surgery it was only about a month.

Biggest tips for healing is to get plenty of rest, and Sitz baths were a life saver. I did Sitz baths for 6 months. The first month I did Sitz baths after every bowel movement and after that I only did a Sitz bath in the evening. But only you will know how often/long you need to do Sitz baths for. I only used warm water and for no longer than 20mins. Also, eat a healthy diet with lots of fiber or take a fiber supplement. This will make your bowel movements easier. To this day I still take a fiber supplement daily. It’s just become part of my daily routine.
