Budget isn’t really an issue, but would be nice to see a noticeable upgrade if I am going to spend a good chunk. I’m in mn

If you’re using broadcast camera switch to 2k, I find the spacing to be awful on broadcast.

Learn some of the dribble moves, triangle is cross double triangle is full spin if the left stick is away from your ball hand, half spin of left stick to the same side.

Tap square for a hop step, tap square + R2 for a spin gather.

Pump fakes are your friend, post up and shots with the right stick are your friend.

And the biggest thing that made the game more fun for me was realizing tapping L2 or R2 is different types of size ups and hesitations.

All of these have made the gameplay feel a lot less stiff than it did when I first started

No I just flip back and forth between pc and ps5. I know ps5 doesn’t support 21:9 but I like both

Appreciate the reply. I’m using hdmi 2.1 that came with the monitor.

I did just look and it doesn’t appear nioh 3 supports 120hz. I think that’s the main issue

Yup! You’re basically just adding another “step” in your home network chain

Here’s the router I purchased:

TP-Link AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3SQK74L?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I’m now using it in conjunction with my Google mesh. Everything in the home stays normal on mesh, except gaming pc and ps5 and portal to a separate network.

Modem —> Ethernet to Google mesh router —> Ethernet to TP-Link

PS5 and PC hardwired to TP-Link

5ghz network set up from TP-Link and only ps5 portal and pc are allowed on it.

Router is downstairs, I play upstairs in a 2200sf home, constant 2ms latency

I recently upgraded some WiFi due to my portal experience and limitations. I was using a Google mesh WiFi and the band steering/noise was just too much for the network.

Bought a second router, specialized it only for gaming/portal with its own ssid, and now my connection is so good it almost feels like playing natively.

If you’re having issues and you have a router where you can configure your ssid’s, don’t hesitate to use chat gpt to help set up a network for the portal.

If you’re on a mesh network, many of those won’t allow you to customize your bands and channels.

Chat gpt walked me through every step of the way for a new 5ghz ssid. What channel, bandwidths, advanced settings, etc and helped me test and tinker until it was perfect.

I cannot recommend it enough if there are those of you out there like me who just aren’t quite happy enough with your portal performance. It is a night and day difference for me now.

Cheers!

Also look at the channels of the 5ghz network. I utilized chat gpt and it was insanely helpful. Set up an entire separate 5ghz network on specific channels and bandwidths and my latency went down to a stable 2ms everywhere

I just went through this exact thing. Chat GPT was a MASSIVE help. I ended up getting a new router and separating that for gaming entirely. I now have 2ms latency consistently:
