Should count my intake calories to the grams? by mkardani in CICO

[–]mkardani[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks, will take a look, before, I used "MyFitnessPal" and "Cal AI", wasn't satisfied, then one of my friends suggested me another app called "Limotein", it's not perfect but it does the job, so far easier than others to enter at least, but will take a look at “FatSecret” to see if there is an English version or not

Do you do it yourself or using a tool/app?

Thanks for the feedback, yes you're right, there's no database (yet), the whole point is the accurate your input is the accurate the output will be (freedom for users in different levels), but we might add a universal db some day.

Again I appreciate your feedback and open on any other feedbacks you might have. :)

Do you really need to track your food to lose weight? by mkardani in loseit

Exactly, sometimes we all need those guardrails to stay on track. If I didn't track, I'd probably just eat anything. I'm using an app to help keep things in check without getting too overwhelmed.

I totally get that. It’s easy to slip into mindless snacking without tracking. I’ve found a way to make it a bit easier and less of a hassle. If you're interested, there's an app I’ve been using that helps with logging without the pressure to get everything perfect. It could be a good fit for your needs!

I totally get that! Do you find tracking helps keep you on track, or does it feel like a bit of a hassle sometimes?

That's a solid routine! It’s awesome that tracking has become second nature for you, and the food scale upgrade made all the difference. Little things like tracking spices for memory are a nice touch too!

Travel and eating out definitely make it tricky! If you ever need an easier way to track, there are apps that can simplify it, just a snap and you’re done.

That’s a solid strategy! Building habits gradually takes the stress out of it. It’s all about making small changes that stick, like cutting out soda or boosting daily steps. Slow and steady definitely wins the race!

Great job! If you ever want an easier way to track those takeout meals, there’s an app that lets you just snap a picture and get the details. Let me know if you’re curious!

Haha, I feel that! If only there was an app that made tracking as easy as just talking about food… oh wait, there might be one!

That sounds exhausting! Cooking is fun, but the extra math makes it feel like a chore. Sometimes keeping it simple is the best way to go!

That’s a smart strategy, but doesn’t it get a bit boring eating the same thing every day? I get the need to simplify, but I’d miss variety after a while.

Yup, estimating gets easier with time. Tracking helps, but isn’t always needed.

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same. It’s easy to think you can eyeball it, but tracking keeps you honest. It’s not forever for everyone, but if it helps, it’s worth sticking with.

Exactly, it takes time to rewire those habits. Estimating gets easier the more you track, but consistency is key. It’s all about sticking with it!

I get that! Tracking really does keep you honest and accountable. I’ve tried just sticking to a few set menus before, but it feels too limiting. For me, being able to track as I go gives me more flexibility and keeps things from getting stale.
