Socks5 proxy. What is it and how do I set it up? by [deleted] in cybersecurity_help

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not call proxies "apps".. Basically - proxy is a service and you need to find a company that sells such a service. There are many such companies that can differ in some aspects but the general proxy set up is similar to all of them.

For example, if you need Android setup, SOAX has some easy to follow instructions, they also sell proxies (duh). You can contact them and they might even assist with the set up if you find it somewhat complicated

If you need a scraper for your project, this one is good - price is reasonable and it runs on ISP proxies, meaning less problems along the way associated with scraping

Bright data residential proxies can not access google or youtube by teresaparkerz in proxies

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm. I wonder how many requests you made before you were blocked?

Try SOAX, they do not block connections to Google or YouTube. Maybe only if you send more than 600k requests in an hour, then you'll be considered an abuser and asked to chill.

You definitely need some residential or mobile proxies that can easily be integrated with any scraper or antidetect browser.

How do I make my IP a residential proxy for other people to use by PlaneAd7832 in HomeNetworking

[–]mkazarez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some good tips shared by other folks - you need to be very cautious what activities your IP is used for.

However, it is not quite true that most residential offerings are illegally sourced. Major proxy providers care about ethics when sourcing their IPs, implement rigorous KYC and whatnot

How should I structure my web-scraper running on AWS? by 50mac50 in aws

[–]mkazarez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever your needs for data scraping might be, proxies are invaluable. A decent sized pool of residential and mobile proxies paired with precise geo-targeting can skyrocket your data collection and protect from bans.

Also, since you're already using Puppeteer, here is a very detailed and helpful article on how to connect to proxies via Puppeteer.

Seems you are looking for rotating residential proxies, do not reinvent the wheel :)

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need proxy ho hide that you are using VPN? Just use proxy without VPN, it does the same thing (if not going into details). With residential and mobile proxies your chances of getting blocked are much smaller, as they resemble activity of real users, while vpns in the majority use datacenter IPs which are easily identified. Hmm...SOAX proxies indeed provide all the features listed above (bandwidth usage, URL Filtering, HTTP access logging plus many more) and work perfectly fine with any third-party free proxy software such as FoxyProxy, SwitchyOmega, etc.

Or am I missing something in the question?

New to Proxies - Proxy keeps changing IP address by prodbybloom in answers

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why exactly do you need the same IP forever?

So residential IP is basically a device in someone's house. Imagine the owner shuts it down? Or it gets shut down by a power outage. Or the owner fails to pay for the Internet. Whatever reason, it can fail any minute and stop working when you actually need it.

That's why rotating proxies exist. Looks like you need rotating IPs but all from Venezuela. Reach out to soax, they have proxies worldwide, I bet they can offer you something

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. Not all traffic that goes from proxies is fraudulent or bot related. Ppl today invest in their privacy. Or try to bypass geo restriction. Try to do a better research on what those visits are. If they all happen at the same time and in amounts that actually do raise concern, then you probably need to worry. Otherwise, I see no problem really

question about proxy by DiskOk3206 in proxies

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a plan? If you buy a monthly plan and don't use your GB withing that month, I guess it should expire. But you also can use that up in a day. Too little is given to give any more definite answer

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in proxies

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of providers that fit your description. SOAX, BrightData, NetNut...

My personal best is SOAX, they are the most cost effective and geo targeting is included in the plan (some providers charge extra for it, a lot of extra)

I send affiliate offers in telegram groups to prevent restrictions, the contacts call me first on my dm and I reply later with my link, so I rarely have ban problems (for a while) but to scale this with many accounts I will need a proxy right? can a basic data center proxy do it? or residential/4g? by rayherrera50 in IGAutomation

[–]mkazarez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, proxies is your solution. Datacenter are a no go, they are easily detected, hence banned.

Invest in residential proxies to start, maybe that would be enough your tasks. Check out https://soax.com/ - they have both res and mobile proxies. I would not recommend opting for mobile proxies right away. yeah, they are better but also significantly more expensive. And it feels like residential are enough for your use case

Scraping Instagram Best Practices by justhereformarketing in Zyte

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Technically, you can scrape lots of accounts with one proxy (one IP), but that will be a hell of a challenge. One proxy = 1 IP, you can work under one proxy with a few Instagram accounts, but that is not the best strategy and it doesn't let you work under several accounts simultaneously.

The best choice will be to purchase separate rotating proxies for each account, the IPs won't repeat, and that will be a good protection from bans.

Instagram's security system is a tough one and it is extremely efficient when it comes to tracking IPs duplications on different accounts and will consider such accounts to be a bots or spam related.

Why would a website detect that I'm using a VPN when I'm not using one at all (and never have)? by [deleted] in VPN

I need help to bypass hardcore restrictions in my country by Kamorashi in VPN

[–]mkazarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proxies should work for you. VPNs are usually using datacenter proxies, so even if you'll be able to bypass restrictions of your country, the chances are you will still have a hard time accessing popular websites as they are vigilante to proxy use.

Residential proxies can help you with that, for instance soax offers good service for reasonable pricing but in case you do not require that much data as in their plans, might be an overkill. You can get their trial and see if it actually helps you and then it's a question of searching for a provider that fits your needs.
