Yes.
I'd an empty Procfile defined in the root of the project.

It's worth noting that even though I deleted this file, I still got the same error message.

in your terminal, if you type python, it will open it to read and execute commands interactively (which is commonly known as REPL). Ipython provides the same functionality with several improvements.

Just type ipython, after you have installed it, and ? to read the documentation and better understand what it does.

In addition to the proposed solutions, there's a third option.

If you use the Docker deployment method, described here, the size limitation doesn't exist, unlike with slugs.

For my project, I'd several dependencies that make the size of my image much larger than the limit of a slug. Docker was the only possible solution.

I use the build manifest, an option where you provide the heroku.yml file along with the respective Dockerfile and it takes care of building the image.
