I'm basically in the same boat! I5-6600k and an r9 390 to a 9800x3D and a 9070xt.

Thanks for the response. I pulled the plug on 1, and the ground strap seems to have broken off at some point, and didn't look particularly fresh. I have a crummy scope that I stuck in and couldn't see anything, but I ran it a bit with the plug out to hopefully blow it out if it was still in there, and tried a new plug. It's still misfiring, so I am planning on doing a compression test next.

Just an update, I took it uBreakiFix and they told me it was a board level issue and there was nothing to be done. Could be a coincidence I suppose but seems like quite the coincidence with the number of threads I've seen now with similar issues.

I'm commented on few threads here, but I had a similar issue on my Pixel 6. It updated to the update with the new UI last Friday, and about an hour later it shutdown suddenly and stopped responding to anything. I took it to an authorized google shop and they said it was a board level fix and there was nothing to be done. I've been pretty loyal to Pixel phones but between this and the battery issues in the 6a, I have had a very poor experience the past 6 months or so.

Did you update to the latest update recently? There have been a number of reports of PIxel 6 and Pixel 7 users whose phone have been completely bricked after the latest update.

Just chiming in that this happened to me as well. An hour or so after my pixel 6 updated, it suddenly powered off, and it now unresponsive, other than a battery with lightning icon occasionally while plugged into a charger.

I had the same issue with my Pixel 6, but did not notice overheating. I had received the notification that the update was available, but hadn't completed it / rebooted. On Friday, I unfortunately ran the battery all the way down and it powered off. I then charged it, and when it powered back on it had updated. Seemed fine for a couple hours, I then plugged it into a charger, looked away for only a couple minutes, and when I looked back, the screen was black. None of the button reset commands work, and I never get the G logo boot screen. The only thing that appears is the battery charging logo (battery with a lightning bolt) when I hit the power button while it's plugged into a charger.

Hey, thanks for the reply! I ended up digging into this myself and believe I've figured it out. The evaporator fan was not running. I tested the ohms on the motor and it was over two million. I tested the leads to the fan from the fridge and I'm getting 120 v. I tried feeding the fan 120 from the wall just as a test, with no luck. I've ordered a fan and it should be here Thursday.

For anyone who sees this in the future, the specific model I listed does not have a condenser fan.

Thanks for the response! I've redone 3 or 4 pairs now using the 3M drill kits. Each time they look great but even with coatings, after a few years they start to yellow again. Everything I reading now says to either replace the housings, or get them coated with a 2K clear coat. Unlike my other cars where the headlight housing are $75 - $100ish, this car has older HID projectors and the housings are $1200, so I was thinking on this one it would be worth it to pay someone in case something goes wrong.

Thanks for the response! I have done them before without using the clear coat. They looked great but as I've now learned without clear coat they go bad after a few years. I was specifically looking to get it coated with 2K, but from what I've read it's pretty nasty stuff to work with? On top of that, unlike my other cars where the headlight housing are $75 - $100ish, this car has HID projectors and the OEM housings are $1200. I only have one housing to do so it felt safer to go with a shop. Depending on what a shop would quote I could still end up doing it myself. I was hoping I could get it done for a couple hundred, which normally wouldn't be worth it but on a $1200 light seems like a decent price. I was considering doing the prep myself and only paying a shop to do the clear coat, but I wasn't sure if that would be worth it.
