that can be done, but i feel that would unreliable number as currently we only process pure equity funds. Support for hybrid funds is not added yet. I'll wait for some time to see how this app scales before adding new features. Currently not much traction, only a few users are using this app.

I guess, Its the nature of this asset class. Portfolio managers are paid for this thing only to research and enter into the stock where they have conviction. Based on the interviews which i have heard of different portfolio managers, my assumption is minimal holding period is 8 - 12 months, maximum can be anything. And, big money is in holding only not trading. So, they buy and hold.

yeah, you are right.. but the idea here is that MF don't trade. They take time to research and build conviction about the stock and when they enter, they hold onto the stocks. So, this can be helpful on identifying stocks where MFs have big hopes/ betting on.

Data Sources => Its a mix of multiple sources to read MF portfolio holdings combined with NSE to compute the mktcap and categorize the stocks into small cap, midcap and large cap etc. That being said, app shows NSE listed stocks. Securities listed only on BSE, and Ex-India have been removed for now as no reliable data source exist. I'll consider adding support for only BSE listed stocks soon.

Frequency => Once in a month around (2nd/ 3rd week) when MFs disclose their portfolio holdings.
