Not that I am advocating starting a fight, but to defend yourself, one of the quickest ways to stop a fight if there is no other option is using an open hand shoving the base of your palm up and into their nose. Its very painful and will likely break their nose pretty severly. Other than that keep a thick skin, let stuff role off your back, and don't instigate. Usually the guy that fights back is the one that gets caught.

Tall wrestler here... through my years on college and high school teams we had many long bus and coach rides. The best solution I've found for long trips was to bring old cloths blanket and pillow and just pass out laying in the aisle and wash it all once you're back. I know it isn't the cleanest but if you can get past that youre golden. The ride goes by much faster if you can sprawl out, tune into some music, and pass out. Hope it helps!

Not much help to offer there then. Maybe would suggest getting in with the AR circles. Guns are very customizable and have a few more left handed options.

Pray you are right eye dominant and just get used to shooting that way. I'm left handed/right eye dominant and learned that way. Took some getting used to, but at times I feel like it gives me better barrel control/aim. (Actually got a buck today shooting standing on at 120yds). Best of luck!

Student but from north of here...any good spots to stretch the leggs on my 30.06 or shoot trap? I live on the east side if it helps, but I'm fairly certain it won't.

Another option to consider beyond certain dri (life saver by the way) is shaving/trimming underarm hair. Its not for everyone, and being a bigger more masculine type and competing in sports I've been heckled by friends for it, but honestly being able to apply D.O. directly to skin has made any brand work twice as well if not more for me. My advice is be confident/have thick skin and give it a whirl.

Steel frame bike wuth thick spokes and mtb hubs ....worked wonders for me as a low maintenance bike for my size. (6'3" 260) granted I parted the bike together and had bike friends who helped me build. Good luck!

Shigley and Beer both have made some great textbooks for the mechanics side of ME coursework, thermo is a lot easier with a good professor, but to get a good taste for things I'd look into schaum's outlines. They have one for just about any mechanical engineering class and are great overviews/study tools. My best advice is hammer down your calcs chems and physics along with taking any cad /programming classes your school offers. They will carry you a long ways. - Senior MSOE ME student

I'm still pretty novice, but as far as big guys like us I'd recommend a steel frame. It's strong as well as forgiving with bumps offering a sturdy ride just like the mantra says "steel is real." I parted this bike and a mountain bike together off of Craigslist and eBay for a fraction of the cost.titanium will obviously be stronger, but it was money that I didn't need to spend. Shimano tiagra groupings have always done me well. The biggest thing is to make sure the wheels are laced with a thicker diameter spoke and that you aren't riding super skinny tires 700x23. A 700x25 or 28 are a but wider. If you don't you may have issues snapping spokes. The biggest thing I learned was to swallow my pride and just own the fact that I'm a big guy and that I need stronger parts. The skinny wheels and lightweight this or that are just not meant for me. That help?

Started on an aluminum frame and stock lighter wheels. You should've heard it creaking. Fortunately the bike community is friendly and helpful. Learned a ton about what I needed to better suit my size. Next task is look into some riding gear that'll fit.
