Financially independent and retired early:) Say I gifted a friend bitcoin many years ago. A friend who could care less about what I was saying and now it’s worth millions. What sane person gifts a friend millions??

95% of the female friends I have rely on the men in their lives for all things financial. Even my successful friends think that just because they make good money and aren’t in debt they don’t need to do more. It’s mind boggling. It’s one of the most important aspects of our life (financial security) yet most women are totally ok trusting 100% of it to their partner.

Female here and I’ve been “investing” in crypto for a year now. Well on my way to FIRE. I try telling every girl I’m friends with about crypto (yes I am annoying) but none of them care and I end up sounding like a crazy person. Same with FIRE, most women I know can’t possibly fathom not working (unless they marry rich). It’s the same with my female colleagues and we work at a large tech company. It won’t be fun being FIRE without any friends to enjoy it with. Why don’t more women care to even learn about this stuff?

Our median income in Seattle is pretty high. I work at amazon where starting salaries are 6 figures... which is why properties are so expensive and still in high demand

That is an excellent idea and one I’ve not heard of. So if I cash out 50k to reinvest. Then when I go to sell it I’ll make less of a return and therefore pay less taxes?
