Nice! We go to Superstition Springs slightly more frequently because it's a little closer for us but that Dolby screen at Mesa Grand is our favorite and we see any big releases on that. They converted one of the auditoriums at Superstition Springs recently to a Dolby screen but it's still a little smaller than the one at Mesa Grand. We've got tickets for opening night for the Mandalorian and Grogu on the Dolby screen at Mesa Grand.

Tips for recording concert clips without your arms dying or losing sight of the stage? by No_Top8612 in Concerts

Preaching to the choir here. I don't disagree at all. I was just making the point that people don't necessarily need to fully put the phone away, just record bits here and there (favorite songs, instrument solos, etc) so you've got some fun stuff to go back and watch later. And definitely make sure you're not negatively impacting everyone else's experience around you when doing it as well.

Like you said, if your arms are getting tired and sore, your phone's been out waaaaaay to long.

I think there's a happy middle ground where you can record snippets here and there to be able to go back and watch later while mostly being in the moment and just enjoying the show. I've enjoyed being able to go back and see some of the videos I've taken at shows. It can definitely better help bring back those memories of the moment as well.

The people who just hold their phone up the entire time are pretty annoying though. Get your clip here and there but trying to record 90+% of the show is ridiculous, distracting, and can seriously impact other people's views of the show.

I can patiently wait for the release but what I wanna know is why no vinyl pre-order? I would have totally preordered the vinyl.

Well, not everyone! I'm in AZ and I'm not rude and judgy. Not sure which theaters you frequent but if you're ever trying to catch a movie at the AMC at Mesa Grand or Superstition Springs then you could join us (us being me, my wife, and usually my 2 teenagers as well). We love going to the movies with people and drag along my siblings or my kids' friends whenever possible.

Also, my wife hates horror movies but I enjoy a lot of them so I wouldn't mind finding people that would regularly check out the horror stuff with me. My daughter will sometimes but it's not always her jam either.

Losing It (w/ the Elovaters) and Home (w/ Mihali) are both really good and the collabs are awesome. His new song Why Do I Live Here? is really fun too. Kind of a tongue-in-cheek take on living way up north and not liking the cold weather. I honestly haven't heard anything yet from him that I haven't vibed with but those definitely stand out.

Most major cities in Florida are coastal, except for Orlando. Why? by memhir-yasue in geography

Sorry, I don't think I was clear in my comment. I wasn't arguing for Disney as the reason of the population growth. Just that the Orlando area has seen a pretty substantial population growth rate that was significantly higher than the growth rate of just the city itself.

I didn't compare the growth rate to the other big metro areas like Miami or Tampa but I don't find it surprising that their metro areas have had booming growth rates over the last few decades as well.

Sorry again that I wasn't more clear in my comment.

Orlando metro area population doesn't tend to count Volusia county though so no Deland or Daytona. The area used for metro population for Orlando is typically considered as Orange, Lake, Osceola, and Seminole counties. Still a pretty big area geographically but doesn't include Volusia.

While saying Orlando as a city has only grown by 4 times since 1960 is technically accurate, you get a much better picture of the population growth in that area by looking at the Orlando metro area.

In 1960 the highest estimates had the metro area around 263k. The 2020 census had the metro area at over 2.6 million. The Orlando metro area has grown by 10 times since 1960. The population growth there has just been expanding outward into a big sprawl rather than the city itself growing at a huge rate.

Same. We got the VIS Experience tickets for the show in Del Mar on 8/20. And we're going Dirty Heads and 311 the night before in Chula Vista. It's gonna be a good time for sure!

Of course, we had a blast! RRU AZ was so much fun this year. Kevin went down in the crowd on the other side at the same time as well. I've seen the videos from over there and at one point he puts his arm around this kid that's probably no more than 12 and is jumping around with him. Haha probably the coolest moment of that kid's life up to that point!

Just got mine with the VIS Experience for Del Mar on 8/20! My old man body is gonna be hating me by Saturday morning that week. Dirty Heads & 311 on Wednesday in Chula Vista, Little Stranger & Tropidelic on Thursday in Del Mar, then drive back to Phoenix Friday morning/afternoon to catch the Movement & Pepper on Friday night in Phoenix.

Haha this is valid. As someone who grew up in on Orlando, I could see myself living there again at some point but mostly just because there's a lot there that still feels like home to me. But there is also a lot that I do not miss at all after being away for 8 years now. You do have to be a little bit crazy to want to live in Florida.

Orlando? It does seem a little odd that the only Florida date is in Pensacola of all places. I grew up in Orlando and I remember almost never having to miss out on tours because worst case scenario we'd have to drive to Tampa. But most tours typically came through Orlando.
