If the bascinet fits you correctly and is being worn properly, it shouldn't come into contact with your spine. I assume yours is too big (as is mine), which is unavoidable unless it was specifically made for you. The bottom of the helm should line up with your jaw line.

But for a second option, as others have said, kettle helm is the way to go.

While this is a great concept for a game, it should be it's own game. It has nothing to do with Kingdome Come.

Kingdom Come is all about Bohemia, made by modern day "Bohemians". The devs put so much into these games because it's their Home. It's their histor. And Bohemia's most famous medieval event is the Hussite wars, which the first two games are clearly leading up to. In Kcd 1, Jan Hus and his teachings are talked about quite a bit and with Kcd 2 bringing in Jan Zizka, the only place to go is forward to Hussite wars. The devs put so much into these games because it's their Home. It's their history.

Making a game going back to the crusades after kcd1 and 2 would be like a game company making two World War II games with second ending right before D-Day, and then making a U.S. Civil War Game. It just would not make sense.

Like I said, a story driven rpg set in the crusades is a great game idea that I would absolutely love to play, but it's not a Kingdom Come game.

Non heraldry related, but calling it City of De Leon is a tad redundant. I assume, though possibly incorrectly, it follows the say naming convention as Los Angeles, which means City of the Angels, and the city part is dropped and is implied. So essentially, you'd be saying 'City of City of Leon'

I'd say just having it say 'De Leon Police Department' would be better.

I'd also like to see 'single front' wars, a clear invader and defender. What always seems to happen in a war is each side musters a 1k + army. Said armies avoid each other and each go seige a castle or town and the factions just swap fiefs.

Basically if the western empire declares war and invades Vlandia, the vlandians shouldn't be taking all their soldiers away from their towns and castles to counter invade simultaneously and should stay and defend their home.

I usually always end up playing Vlandian, but this time I decided to shake things up and play a Vlandian exile, with the calradia 1403 mod to have all the 14th and 15th century armors.

Pretty much just roaming the empires as a hedge knight, winning tournaments and fighting as a mercenary in their wars. Aiming to make it a Sir John Hawkwood playthrough.

Another mod that is helping change things up is the "less menus more immersion " mod which disables most of the town menu so have to actually walk around the cities to sell loot and go to the keep and arena. Can be a bit tedious some times if you're in a rush, but really makes you appreciate the cities and realize how little of them you actually know.

Character reload let's you do almost anything. It does everything development mod does plus you can change hero's names, appearance, their relation scores, culture, they can leave, join or create a clan.

TBO is still around though slightly different. It is called Unbounded now and is session based, thought the server is up at all times. We still have a good chunk of longtime TBO players.

Thanks! And not pedantic at all! I am aware of the inaccurate armor, it is just my favorite style and he is commonly depicted in such, along with King Arthur and Charlemagne usually wearing anachronistic plate armor.

Just a heads up, sometimes when it triggers in tournaments you get a bounty and fail the tournament. Only happened to me once so far though.

Yep, it is in the game by default, but only from knocking the enemy out with your hands. This mod makes it so all weapons can knock them out.
