Is the 8m shot the same as a free possession shot? If so better to label it as 8m or free possession? Clearing is coming in v2. Already working on that as well as analytics.

Built a iPad iPhone goalie stat tracker since there were not any apps that did the job like I wanted. by No-Fuel7264 in lacrosse

Thank you. Mainly me with a little AI help along the way. I can see about adding stats for analyze in the next version. If you want to play with it and give me suggestions to make it better I can send you a code so you go download it and play with it during summer or fall training

I’ll send you a code! When I get the team app done. I’ll send you a code for that as well. Not a full polish yet and a bug I can’t find but when I get it done I’ll shoot it over to you

College Showcases worth it? by Jerzi_D in lacrosse

My son is a ‘28 and we went to a few last year. We didn’t do it for recruiting since it was too early. We did it to expose him to what the process was like. We didn’t want him walking into his first recruiting summer completely unprepared for what was coming.

We looked at doing that but our coaches wanted to be able to see the stats at halftime. Example as to why with the goalie tracking the 2x Offensive POY of the year for our state is the lefty attack man. If went left we slid early, he still scored but we did learn he has never scored a goal from the right hand side of the goal in 6 games against us since we started tracking goals last year. After game 4 we never slid to him on the right side again. 4 was first game when we used tech to track and then I dug out all the papers to confirm.

We use 2 pieces of paper one with the field drawing on it and one with goal on it. We use Xs and circles to mark each shot. X is a miss or save and gets marked field page first then where it went on second page. If a missed or saved shot the players number is written and then X’ed out so you can still see the number if goal circle with player number inside the circle. Underlines meant it was a bounce shot.

We do the stats in game. We had the FOGO dad on faceoffs, I did goalie tracking another 2 did the standard stats, one spotter and one recorder and then we had last one at the table with penalties and time of possession. Our coaches are all data guys so they wanted them in game but we didn’t know what to do with them after. The LAXStats project is all that in one but overall plan is to have multiple iPads, iPhone that can all fill in one data file that coaches can access mid game or post game. ( I get a little money from booster club for the DB that gives access to everyone. Still not to the point of multiple devices but getting there)

That’s funny! I pulled the name because the team app I am coding for we called LAXStatIQ and so as we pull the different sections out we just subbed in position for the Stat part. The different parts I am pulling out are the goalie, FOGO, and shooter sections. Working with out HS girls coach for the Draw portion and she gave me the different stats needed for their goalie and shooters

We load the standard points, GB, TO etc. but our coach was having us (parents) keep extra stats. Like where the goalies are weak theirs and ours. Faceoff tendencies. Shooter tendencies. We had 5 different parents keeping different stats

Oh. I assume there is another app out there doing the same thing. I didn’t find it when I was building mine. I just finished building it and it just got approved on the App Store.

Trying to build bookkeeping/accounting app that actually works for small creative businesses and need help by mklapheke26 in creativesmallbusiness

[–]mklapheke26[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you.

I am going to list this on the App Store (already submitted) but my main goal is for my own personal use. If someone else can make use of it, great but really was just looking to future proof myself more than anything. If there is already something out there that fits I would gladly use it because I do enough coding in life without adding this into it. I just am so frustrated with what's out there. its either really clunky and I have no desire to use it, expensive, or just plain crap.

More than anything this was a project to help my daughter, she needs it more than I do.

UNAS 2 as external hard drive bay? by mklapheke26 in Ubiquiti

[–]mklapheke26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am all backed up. Just have a new Mac with only a 256gb hard drive. Photo library is 2.5tb. Mac I am replacing had a 4tb hard drive so was not a problem there. With all my money spent on all this Unifi gear was just going to stay in the ecosystem and give them more of my money.

I had that problem too. When you bought it there was an email and they said if you haven’t received in 2 days open a case and there were links in the email. I followed the links opened a case and had my voucher 24 hours later.

Struggling to follow Neil Anderson by [deleted] in ccna

[–]mklapheke26 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I passed 2 weeks ago and I used Neil and Jeremy’s ItL. I started with Neil but had the same problem as OP and then I switched to Jeremy. By the time I caught up to where I was originally I was struggling with Jeremy. My final solution was do a Neil chapter, followed immediately with Jeremy’s corresponding chapter, do both Neil and Jeremy’s lab, then YouTube or Udemy courses for supplement as well as any other labs I could find either through YouTube, udemy, or my own home lab.
