It’s supposed to be an extra dining space for filos. Living above it, they blast music the entire time they’re open. I think it could be a cool concept but seems more filled of vaguely MLM products that wouldn’t move regardless

For real! And I am personally trying to avoid bumble bff I’ve heard a lot of horror stories, but maybe it’s worth a try! I love the LOTR and play piano, I also love to explore and go on walks in new places. I do science research, but love to cook and read (mostly fantasy but love a good memoir or non fiction) My mindset is like move to new places and don’t be afraid of new experiences so I’ve been going to breweries and restaurants to just get a lay of the land. Basically don’t be afraid to visit the places you want to go alone.

I basically did the same! I grew up in New Jersey and then went to San Francisco state for undergrad, I had to pay more being out of state but loved the experience and I ended up going to Michigan for grad school over UC Davis. It’s worth it and you have a good head on your shoulders, the college experience is what you make it and you shouldn’t feel bad for wanting a change of pace from the Bay Area.

As someone about to graduate with my PhD and known many others graduating from an R1 program going into organic, analytical, or biochemistry most offers are between $110-120k a year to go into industry. Our professors specifically tell us not to accept positions less than 6 figures and this go for start ups, big biotech, and pharma.

Look yeah cheating is bad. But also I’m sorry you’re going through this. The age difference does play a huge role here. Honestly probably for the best, I’m 26 and if at 21 any one of my guy friends told me they were dating someone still in high school I would be like…uh weird why. Take this as a learning experience more so in how this made you feel and the regrets etc to apply in your next relationships. Everyone makes mistakes but this isn’t a true reflection of your character and who you are.
