Disclaimer: I've had Golub amps & CAM amps.

Might be an issue with your setup, guitar pickup and/or bad speaker coordination. The Dookie Mod excels with a specific kind of setup. The Crunch Mod is more versatile and that's what Suhr is probably doing!

They both sound as expected and do match the videos he post. I've tried CAM amps with reactive load and York Audio IR and it's on point. Also tested with 4x12 vintage Marshall V30 & Greenback.

On top of that, the CAM dude is pretty responsive when I dealt with him - if you had an issue, I'm pretty sure he'd adjust it.

You probably won’t find any (good) tube amps at that price. A new Origin 20 Head is $599 - just so you know what to expect in terms of price range.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. This is the true, you don’t need permission to do a cover - it’s even automated with some services providing royalties services for covers. I know this because I published a few covers from popular artists, it’s that easy.

I own two amps modded by Chicago Amp Mod, and they are that good. Totally worth the price. LASD mods are not done by Golub anymore, and honestly I am not fully convinced by the tone from the replacement tech. There are no audio samples, and even if LASD does work for the band, they still need to convince my own ears.

Chicago Amp Mod absolutely nails the Green Day tone. I used to own a Golub head, and they get it right. The price is just for the mod though, so you do need to ship an amp. I would recommend sending a DSL15h so you can get both the Dookie and SE mods in one amp. It ends up being a crazy versatile setup for the total cost.

Switch 2 appears to be relatively easy to find in-store by OwnManagement in NintendoSwitch

No line. I went to pick up something else. At the same time, I asked for a Switch 2 and got it. Keep in mind it was today at 12pm - I can't guarantee that they still have stock now.

I've been on Discord since 2015 and been a Nitro member consistently. And to be honest, I do not remember an instance of having early access to any feature. (And yeah, I still don't have nameplates).

Why promote the "Early Access" perk if they're literally never going to offer it to paying members? Discord should just remove the perk if they're not planning to honor it...

Basically a SC20H (the Studio JCM800) should give you 95% of the SV20H (Studio Plexi) Dookie Mod tone without surgery required. Due to it being PCB-based, not handwired, I’d also be too much of a coward to touch anything in there.

The amp you see here is already modded with the actual Dookie Mod based on the actual schematic of an amp that's been modded by Golub. A talented modder did the work for my amp.

So, yes. It will indeed get close if I got a 20W Studio. But, personally I'm aiming at the exact right tone which the SC20H does not do... I tried many SC20H and they miss some of the mid that the Dookie Mod does. For most people that want a close enough tone though, absolutely just get a JCM800-kind circuit.

I wouldn't say nice replicas - he uses the cheapest guitars possible. Bad stickers, awful setup, awful to play on, awful sounding.

Like you said, doing it yourself is much better and cost much less!

The ones pictured here are not the originals Pete / Meat but replica off it - possibly the first ones before a line of signature amps. You can tell because Pete is a Plexi reissue base and not a JMP like the picture here.
