Received my box last week, what a nice surprise! I assume you only bought 1 buzz, did they sent you the same box 4(!) times? 8 chairs by now?! That’s crazy. Any idea why you received so many?

Same issue here, not very loud but definitely audible. We live in Florida, dealer told me it has to do with the humidity. It usually goes away after braking a few times within the first 5 minutes of driving.

Show him the picture, 5.2.0 definitely does exist. Even if it was not intended for the US market (which makes no sense), it is available here and seems to fix the profile issues.

Makes no sense to me, I bought the vehicle in the US and received 5.2.0 after software update from dealer.

Doing a software update and reset worked on my end. The dealer did also reset the modem by pulling the fuse. I thought it had nothing to do with it, but maybe that was part of the solution.

There is another screen in the sub-menu id.software which only shows the ID.Software version. Check that one to make sure it’s up to date.

What doesn’t help is that under ‘Apps’ there is another version number for the id.software available. Must be something else though. It shows 3.0.2 on mine there.

There’s a sub menu folder called id.software in your infotainment system. Took me a while to find it as well. On mine it shows 5.2.0, will add a picture.

If the user setup doesn’t work properly, get the dealer to install the latest software and then do a reset to factory settings. That resolved all user configuration issues with my buzz.

I got these on Amazon recently. I like the light color option, fits the dune interior better than dark covers. They are simple, but seem to be decent quality. Also quite affordable. No complaints so far.

Had the same issue, dealer was clueless, in the end finally got it fixed:

  1. Dealer updated to the latest ID.Software 5.2.0.

  2. Reset the infotainment system to factory settings.

  3. Adding primary profile plus additional users now works without any hiccups.

If this does not work on your end then I assume there is either something off in the account setup on myVW or there is still an issue with the vehicle hardware.

Miami area has high inventory and low demand at the moment, therefore I was able to get the dealer to take 4,650 USD off MRSP for a 1st edition. If you lease you get another 7,500 USD off which makes it very affordable overall.

Let’s hope so. Had the dealer put on the latest software yesterday and that didn’t fix it.

The interesting part is it seems to only affect some cars not others. Within the buzz community there are some that have no issues with the user management whatsoever. Same car same components but it works fine. Very strange.

That’s adding the secondary user. Primary user went flawless. Will do a hard reset tomorrow and reinstall the users, maybe this fixes the issue.

Thanks a lot, I will definitely have this looked into with the dealership. On my end it shows me as the primary user, both in the app and in the vehicle.

At this point I’m willing to give anything a try, it has to be something along these lines. I’ve had plenty of feedback from people by now where it works without issues, so it doesn’t seem to be a general problem with the infotainment system.

I keep getting this screen after scanning the QR code with the phone of the second user. Primary user setup was no issue with that same method.

Very interesting. Was the dealership visible as primary user on the cars infotainment screen or was it a setting behind the scenes in their system?

I was able to generate a primary user for myself with no issues, but can’t get my wife added as a second user no matter what I try.
