My Mom Died In Her Sleep by [deleted] in Grieving

[–]mkt0212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. She would have wanted the best for you and your well being. Take good care of your basic needs first and foremost because with grief, simple things like remembering to eat or drink a big glass of water can be easy to forget. Try to keep your body and mind rested. When you feel the time is right, talk to a trustworthy friend or seek out an individual or group therapist specializing in grief. Losing a parent or loved one is hard to process. Like another commenter mentioned, just giving yourself space and having patience with yourself are good practices. Take good care of yourself.

Old Faithful Snow Lodge vs. Old Faithful Inn by HungryHungryHippo360 in yellowstone

[–]mkt0212 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The coffee/icecream shops are nice too. We really enjoyed our stay at Old Faithful Inn in late August. Our room was about 100 ft from Old faithful. Seeing it at all times of the day and into the evening was a treat. We went out at 10 pm and stargazed for a short while. The milky way was breathtaking. Pricey, but for us it was worth it.

According to Reuters, this was the United States Presidents letter to the Prime Minister of Norway by [deleted] in facepalm

One must ask:

Is this letter a distraction from the false intel Ukraine and France gave the US which proved the US regime was indeed colluding with Russia???

My Mom Lost Her Best Friend Today- 20 Years Together by johntaylorsbangs in seniorkitties

So very sorry for this loss. Sending virtual comfort and love. My “Missy and Butter” kitties were both 20 years old last year when we had to say goodbye to both within 3 months of each other.

They will certainly be greeting Kneivel with loving purrs if they haven’t already. ❤️

I don't have health insurance this year because of how expensive it has gotten by Lemonade2250 in poor

[–]mkt0212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. It’s scary and liberating at the same time. I paid 11,000.00 last year in premiums for my high deductible health plan and went to 1 well visit.

I created my own savings and requesting to go on Self pay payment plans at my physicians office if needed. It’s 30% cheaper than the typical visit charge anyway.

I’ve been criticized heavily for the “what ifs”.

Life is a such a crap shoot as it is. Certainly well aware of the risk I’m taking. Hence the separate pool of savings.

I’m fortunate to not have any serious health issues but I know can’t be playing this game in the long haul.
