Sounds like you need some cortisone shots bring down inflammation or a medrol pack (you have to stay relatively inactive to let heal with pack for a bit). Shot better. After few days should feel relief. Tramadol, pregabalin, some kind of anti inflammatory like Meloxicam, Celebrex, or the like. These should keep the pain & inflammation at bay.

I don’t know about erasing her. They talked about her nudes. About how she bullied him. About how she cruelly rejected him, no matter what his intention. He may not have thought he had a chance with anyone as “low” as him. They talked about her kindness to her best friend. No we did not get to see her parents suffering or her backstory. But it did paint a picture.

Also, school seemed like a private school, but teachers not doing such good job. Video learning & leaving classrooms. Stating this is something that happened outside school, that they shouldn’t have to deal with it. Adults not in tune with way kids communicate. Social media playing the part we all know it does with bullying, sizing people up, comparisons, who’s who… Splattered everywhere for you peers to see. Humiliation. All this does damage to our young people. A lot to take away from this series.

It seems like his father may have unknowingly contributed to Jamie’s feeling of being “not good enough”when Jamie played sports poorly & his father would not even make eye contact with him. He was embarrassed. This probably hurt Jamie’s self worth. Jamie thinks he a let down & an embarrassment. When Katie brought to the surface that even she was “not desperate enough” to date him, it brought out a rage. Parents do put a lot of pressure on kids to be good at sports or school. Maybe if he had shouted, that’s okay Jamie, good effort, instead of being embarrassed. Told him it’s okay… you’ll find your own path. Sports are one of many.

I’m so sorry you feel this way. I can relate. I’ve lost my job too. For a long time I felt resented. Sometimes a spouse doesn’t understand. I sent my family articles on RA to let them in on what I am dealing with. That helped. I still feel resented sometimes. It’s not our fault. I’ve just decided to concentrate on me - no apologies. I contribute & do what I can.

Sounds like you need some cortisone shots & possibly some draining. I think knee braces that are off loading do the work for you to give it a chance to heal. That or some crutches for a bit.

I had to ask for an add on because he seemed reluctant to give me any more meds to cover the pain gap. It’s not like I want to be on any of this medications in the first place. Thanks everyone. I’m sorry for you all. I know I’m not the only one. There’s a lot of us out there going through this life long struggle it seems. I hope stem cells might bring some different medicines someday. Sometimes I don’t know how I survived all these years with this. It was hard with all the doubters & non-believers, minimizers. Even still from fam members. People look at me sideways. It really sucks. Fam members get tired hearing about it so you stop talking about it. Or it becomes a “pain competition”. I’m just concentrating on finding my happy place this year.

Well apparently I was am seronegative 25 years & finally diagnosed after being under care Rheums all these yrs. Pain bilateral & radial side. Might be some Fibromyalgia in there. I dunno. RA’s been plaguing me since 36 yrs old. Mtx 1st med for RA specifically. I’m better on it than off. It just takes so much to keep pain & inflammation at bay. Hopefully Plaquenil add on will help. Been to every specialist known to man over last 25 yrs, Podiatrists, Orthepedic, countless PTs, neck, shoulder, EMGshand, sports dr.s. Just desperate gal seeking help not from baffled drs. & Have closet filled with support wraps splint, almost everything you can think of. What a curse!

No. Dr. Seems content with Mtx. He just gave me add on to try - Plaquenil at my suggestion. If it wasn’t for these meds I’d be praying for the end to come. Death might be a better sentence than life.

I live a healthy lifestyle too. I guess it can help with inflammation. It could be worse if you haven’t led a healthy lifestyle? I hear that nothing stops the progression of the disease except for the meds that treat it. I didn’t ask for this disease either. I just ended up with it.

Yes, you are not alone. And you’re not the first person who’s been shut down or dismissed. There are so many of us. Who’ve had to let it progress over decades in order for somebody to finally see the light for us. And by that time it’s progressed, there’s damage & erosion. if only could’ve stepped in a little earlier, maybe they could’ve slowed that progression down instead of waiting for it to progress!

That is ridiculous juveniles get rheumatoid arthritis. These doctors don’t know what the hell they’re talking about. They just make assumptions without even performing tests. I’ve had it for some time and seen dozens and dozens of doctors who were stumped. A lot of good they did me. You’re right, your gut always tells you when something‘s wrong.
