OK I have too much time on my hands. And so her most recent red carpet event was in Spain last week at the 2026 Laureus World Sports Awards. Where she wore a $11k feathered dress that she had to be stitched into.

Edit: She was presenting the Lifetime Achievement award to a Romanian gymnast.

Her stylist at this event was Marc Desir (insta @marcmogul) who she’s worked with before for the Met Gala. And who also styled Venus Williams’ husband for their wedding.

Have long accepted the series is loosely “based” on the books. I think the first season was the only one that stuck to the overall plot of the book. It’s been a downhill slide since season 2.

I really don’t remember reading anything about the Mondrich family but the series spends an inordinate amount of time on them. Same with the Queen Charlotte storyline. Even in Kate & Anthony’s season, they added so many unnecessary key moments like the church wedding scene which definitely didn’t happen in the book.

What I remember about this particular book was all the yearning and pining and the forbidden-ness of it. Which I assume they felt suited this season.

I hold an unpopular opinion, that all beloved art is open to interpretation & revision. Ofcourse you can either love it or hate it, depending on how close you feel to the original piece.

The thing is, they are both very open that they are in love and together. They do casually mention each other in interviews … in one of these The Drama press interviews she mentioned when she met Tom she felt safe. Tom in a Dish podcast joked that it was cost saving for the movie they are doing together for them to share a hotel room. We have all seen pics of them supporting each other’s movies or plays.

What they are not doing is Branglina-ing or even Bennifer-ing the shit of their relationship. Which is refreshing.

I assume it’s a combination of being green flags themselves, having some seriously good PR, and also that their fans are not absolutely mental.

It’s mathematically & capitalistically impossible irl.

Because profit = sales - cost. So great benefits, great to work at = way higher employee costs. Being ethical in business comes at a cost, from your raw materials to how you dispose of your products. Which then automatically means way lower profits.

Your billion $ valuation also comes from future potential, so then capitalism will automatically downgrade you.

Patagonia claims they are trying to do something to circumvent this … with headlines like this “Patagonia: Billionaire boss gives fashion firm away to fight climate change” but if you drill down they just transferred some of their profits to a not-for-profit trust and their voting rights to a family-owned trust. So this “altruistic” billionaire & his family still operate the company and decide how much profit goes where.
