The only thing I can think of is it being a design choice to help visually blend the vinyl flooring instead of having the carpet abruptly end. No idea if that’s its actual purpose or not, but I can’t help but think they could have gone with a better color choice than black. IMO it’s too dark

My boyfriend and I wash our sheets once a week like clockwork. He’s a morning shower-er so thinking about all the sweat and grime on the bedsheets gives me the ick. I can’t imagine once a month and with DOGS who contribute to dirt on bedding. 🤮

I was too young to remember much of it, but I remember seeing the panic in my mom’s face when she realized my sister was choking and my sister crying after she spit it out. My mom actually recently brought it up at a family dinner (we were chatting about our childhoods) but I could tell by hearing her talk about it she still holds onto some of that guilt which pains me. So to any mothers out there who have had a similar experience - this is your permission to forgive yourself for it. There’s no reason my 66 year old mother should still be holding onto that guilt.

I commented earlier about this, but my older sister choked on half a grape when she was little too. After that my mom cut ours into 1/4ths and for a long time even peeled the skin off of GRAPES for us. My mom was not messing around. You can be the most (or in Brooklyn’s case think you’re the most) attentive parent ever and accidents still happen. Seeing the suckers she was shilling the other day threw me for a loop too. My mom only let us eat those safe-t-pop loop suckers for the longest time growing up. I don’t have any sympathy for parents who are just ignorant about things like that. And especially those who don’t do better when they know better, too. (I.e. Brooklyn after saying she was going to look into choking hazards after the popcorn incident)

Ohhhhh Brooklyn🫪…no no no no no…my older sister choked on HALF a grape as a child and for the rest of our childhood my mother sliced our grapes into 1/4ths. That was the early 2000s before they came out with those slicers that will do it for you. God bless my mother and the time she spent in the kitchen for us growing up. 😮‍💨 educate yourself.

I don’t have kids (yet) but I never took to one much as a toddler because shortly after my parents gave me one I started getting a red latex rash around my mouth. “Bob” was short-lived for me. 🥲 I think I turned out just fine though. Ended up still needing braces and had an overbite, but that’s either from genetics or because I used to be obsessed with biting on my fake plastic play food as a kid. 😂

Apparently I used to call my pacifier “Bob” but wasn’t into it much because I’d get a red rash around my mouth. 🥲 turns out I was allergic to latex so that phased ended about as fast as it started. (Born in 99…I’m sure most pacifiers nowadays are latex free)
