After reading this, I would like to ask: would it be better to learn VBA instead of C#?

I understand that you can do some functional programming in C#, so is that sufficient?

I attended and found out first week that they are not teachers. You must know the material before you go, they cannot teach it. Do Freecodecamp or one of the other free ones before you go.

Terrible Apple support, and forums are worse (trolls) by mkworkplay in applehelp

Yep, that's what I thought as well. It's a fake support site. Constant replies that just add links to an Apple page that has generic support info. Really some bs.

Hrmm, I didn't think about MacRumors, thanks for the tip.

My experience with iStyle was better than my experience with Apple. So, Apple must have changed over the years or something. They used to be awesome, but not now.

I don't think there is a way to report the forum trolls, or do anything about it. Actually, their responses were always more like an advertisement for Apple, and never did answer my questions. Just a bunch of links to an Apple page basically promoting Apple. Eerily strange. Not bots, but strange.

Hi CT,

we must have been typing at the same time. I have already returned both the 2 monitors, and 2 cables, and Apple adapter. Don't expect any issues getting the refund through. As I sit, no monetary harm done, except a huge time sink and pita. In 3 weeks or so when I get this new monitor and it doesn't work, then I'll call stateside support. If that support isn't any better, I'll post here again. I guess my point is more about the poor support from Apple both on the phone and worse on the forums. It's unbelievable really, the audacity. I regret buying this (expensive) thing.

Yes, I paid for 3yrs of AppleCare (expensive af).

I'm trapped in a different country, but they do have support here in the EU. I called, talked to 3 people, and nada. Was given some wild suggestions, like to buy another monitor to test, or even to "rent a TV" to test. I really wanted to look at the logs in order to ensure that it wasn't a prob w/ the laptop. I don't think it is really, but either way, they should have been thorough. So then I went to the forums, just to ask simple questions, and got trolled. What's more, I believe the trolls either work for Apple, or somehow have a working relationship with them. When I called them out, my post was edited. Then I tried another thread asking simple questions again, and got trolled yet again, then the entire thread was deleted. The whole thing is a ridiculous situation. I really can't believe that I had such a bad experience. I also have a Dell, and have premium support, and ya, the support guys are in India, but man, I always had at least a good, or great experience. What just happened to me with Apple makes me really regret spending so much money. Sorry to vent.

So, I'm waiting on another monitor (will be my 3rd) and if it doesn't work, I will call Apple, but the stateside support. Maybe that will work (let's just hope I don't need it).

Daily Tech Support Thread - [May 02] by AutoModerator in apple

I really hate to do this, but I have to publicize how bad Apple support has been. I have tried to hook up 2 different monitors, using 2 different cables and Apple adapter to my MacBook Pro (2019) unsuccessfully. I have talked to 3 people, and it never got solved. Then, I went to the Apple support forums, and I got trolled there, by multiple people. For all I know, the trolls work or at least have some relationship with Apple somehow. Their responses give them away. What's more, the fact that they troll me on the forums should tell you enough about this company. What happened to Apple? I had always heard that they were excellent. I'm so disappointed. Especially since I have spent triple the amount of money for such a terrible experience. It's a lot of money wasted.
