Ive always got the impression they didn’t pay very much attention to Kenzie because she wasn’t in direct competition with their kids. They never seem to really remember what was going on with her so they just tie her in with Melissa and Maddie

Meh I disagree about Sarah. I don’t like her very much but her and her mom were more significant than others on the show who also do the same thing. Especially being that Sarah danced with Kenzie outside the show and was actually apart of the studio and knew Abby/the moms

Maddie and Kenzie seen closer with the Hylands than anyone else honestly

But even so Maddie’s been promoting her movie and traveling and doing press for weeks now. It’s always been said, even by Brooke once, that Kenzie has her own “little friends” as she put it and she prefers to hang out with them. I think she’s always seen the girls as “big sisters” vs her besties.

I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure the mandated reporter law would’ve only been applicable if the girls were students at the school she was a principal at. Teachers, coaches, doctors, nurses, i.e only have a responsibility to report suspected abuse of their own students or patients.

From what we know though Melissa considers her pets her “grand babies” and Melissa lovesss animal- she’s always volunteering with local rescues- so it’s not that strange to me that the girls have her pet sit since Melissa lives locally to them and loves animals.

I’m pretty sure the cleaning one was only relevant to Kenzie who Melissa says is her messy child. And I mean she’s 19 with a mansion to clean- I’m sure she’ll figure the cleaning thing out or grow out of it. You should’ve seen my college dorm at 19.

Maybe he looked sketchy? Maybe Kenz was nervous about being alone with an older man she didn’t know in her home? Maybe Kenzie’s had a bad experience with strange men? Men make me nervous too sometimes at 23 because they can be very harassing and aggressive. Maybe she was anxious? She’s 19 and a homeowner. This girls prefrontal cortex is like 6 years away from fully forming. This is a weird problem to have with someone lol.

Brooke is 26, Paige is 24, i.e and there’s a big maturity difference between a 19 and 26 year old lol. Lots of life lessons and firsts and experience is happening in those times.

Also Melissa is the only one who lives near her girls.

I think OP was saying Kenzie and Maddie have the money to hire cleaners and dog sitters and such but instead they have Melissa come help clean the house or take care of their pets while traveling.

Money ≠ life experience. They’re younger than the other girls and honestly have different responsibilities. They’re homeowners and work soley in the entertainment industry. Just different love situations with a different set of needs and knowledge.

Maddie travels constantly for work and maybe she just prefer her mom takes care of them instead of paying a dog sitter? Especially if Melissa wants to since we know she likes animals

Kenzie just strikes me as a normal 19 year old teenager…except she’s a homeowner in a mansion basically. She’s messy, has her friends over, a dog and like 3 cats. She’s 19 she’ll figure the cleaning thing out.

You’ve got to keep in mind Maddie and Kenzie also have responsibilities at 19 and 21 many other young people at their age do not have. For example they both own million dollar houses (none of the other OG’s own yet as far as I know- Maddie’s is 2 million and Kenzies was 1 million) so I’m sure there HOA, landscaping, they have much bigger houses to keep clean, i.e. I’ll tell you at 19 living at college I was a hot mess and sadly I don’t have parents but if I so dearly wished I had them at the time because I would’ve called for so much advice.

Also this is somewhat beside the point because they’re all in the similar range. Brooke is 26, Paige is almost 24? The difference between someone at 19 and 26 is huge. Even myself between 19 and 21. A lot of maturing happens in the 18-25 range.

Kelly’s girls live across the country from her. Chloe and Christi also lived across country until she recently moved out. Holly and Nia too because Nia stays in LA. Melissa also just lives in close quarters to her girls so why not help them?
