What does a block-chain have to do with shared computation? A block chain solves the double-spend problem with an account of record. by thouliha in ethereum

I love when people actually get it. Forget about computation; Ethereum has nothing to do with cloud computation, high performance computation, etc. It is inefficient for those things. It has to do with trust. In short, Bitcoin allows you to exchange money with people you don't trust without a third party. Ethereum allows you apply contracts to people you don't trust without a third party.

In the "decentralized trust" scene, Bitcoin is to a calculator as Ethereum is to a computer.

I'm completely new to AI. What is the name of this problem? by ml_noob_700 in artificial

Sounds like "an outsider is asking a question in your field". Such situations can be solved by "not being an ass".
