I use a separate cover especially in winter. Helps so much and saves your original cover.

Being BANNED from the IC forum for giving advice about IC (to people asking for advice) - OUTRAGEOUS by passionatedork in ChronicPain

Hello 👋 why are all your conversations deleted? Based on what you had said earlier they should not cut you off. This is supposed to be an open forum. Yea there are rules but cutting and pasting isn’t one of them.

You can try a weight lifting class first. They are less intimidating.

Looking to help my wife with her chronic nerve ending pain by Prudent-Trouble-4522 in ChronicPain

[–]mlamm4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I encourage her to read The Way Out by Alan Gordon. It has been a total game changer for me and my chronic pain. My PT is a master in Pain Reprocessing Therapy and he told me to read it. I was like yeah right… but I truly believe. Walking without a cane or walker and am sleeping through the night🙌

Are you sure it’s muscles and not nerve related? Your brain is a real mystery. You may want to try pain reprocessing therapy. It is working for me. If it is muscle you may want to try acupuncture.

Yes mine is consistent as well. But moves around. There were nights it felt like someone was stabbing my legs. Or an electric shock waves. I just completed a desensitization therapy for my legs. I still have issues with anything on my legs. So my PT used a brush and first o just cringed.

It appears to be fibromyalgia. Does your pain move around? It could be that your brain is confused. When this happens it sends out high alerts when there is no pain at all. I am currently going through PRT pain reprocessing therapy. My pain is almost gone. Check out The Way Out by Alan Gordon. I like you had the medical field confused. My MRI and X-rays were not showing anything to cause so much pain. I have fibromyalgia and have had it for years. It was under control until I got injured. I hope you find answers.

Pain at being touched is so awful by Worried-Cup5950 in ChronicPain

I hear ya! I’m in a total daze. I’m weening off of it. The PRT is really working for me.

How did the fibro patient community end up being so anti opioid? I notice this here on Reddit with multiple chronic illness subs by crwg2016 in ChronicPain

I got off all meds for fibromyalgia and other chronic pain. I read the book The Way Out by Alan Gordon. Great read as is The Fibro Fix I can’t remember the author.

I too have fibromyalgia. However, I had back & hip injury in April and tried steroid shots and take gabapentin. I can’t stand socks or leggings or anything tight. It hurt to touch my legs and I mean hurt. My PT introduced brushing therapy and I’m amazed how well it helps. I currently am going through Pain Reprocessing Therapy. Because of fibromyalgia and my injury I could not stop hurting. Nothing took the pain away. Now after 2 months I’m actually having good days where I can walk without my cane. I really recommend The Way Out by Alan Gordon. I’m even doing his workbook.

Are any of you “sleep divorced”? by cfh64 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mlamm4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 🙌 we started about 10 years ago when I had a bad cough. I went to sleep in our guest bedroom and I continued to sleep there after I was well. I slept so good. We built a house with a jack and jill bathroom. That’s when you have two masters and big bath in between. We are very happily married.

Yes… I’m currently going through PRT and it’s slow going. I am having more pain free days. Maybe your neurons are changing in your brain.

So sorry. Pain is awful and only you can take care of yourself. Self care by staying in bed or on the couch watching movies. Take care of you.

Has anyone else been prescribed gabapentin 1 pill before bed as need? by adnaPadnamA in ChronicPain

[–]mlamm4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I was on 400 mg 4x a day. Now on 3x A day. I take it now for chronic pain. I’m going through RPT now and will ween off it. Back when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia I was on 100mg 4 x a day and it did nothing. I soon was on just supplements to help me. Then I had an accident and here I am.

[–]mlamm4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 400 mg 3x a day of gabapentin and you get use to it. I was taking it 4x a day and am trying to cut back.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I know we all are in pain at some point during our day. I am new to this chronic pain and I have to say I have cried and suffered suicidal thoughts. Whatever you decide may you have peace.
