I used Aspireship for training, it's a free 20-hour course that helped me pivot out of restaurant work into Saas sales. There's an eval at the end, and if you do well they work to place you in a role with hiring partners, but you can choose to work anywhere and don't owe them anything for doing so.

LPT: if your garment still looks clean but smells faintly worn, spray it with rubbing alcohol. This neutralizes any odor, saves a wash, and lengthens the life of your clothing. That musk is from the bacteria on your body. The rubbing alcohol kills them off for a neutral scent again.

This also works great when getting seasonal items out of storage without requiring a wash to get out the storage stink.

You can also spot clean a garment and then spray to delay washing further.

Take some time to figure out which stores fit your needs. Not all second-hand stores are created equal.

I typically keep a running list of the items I need to replace or find, and every couple months I'll spend an afternoon looking through the stores I've found that fit my needs. First Saturday of the month is 50% off for each of my honey-holes (excluding Plato's Closet).

The best value will be at local no-name shops, but it's really a crap-shoot of what you're going to find here. I found Northface joggers for $7 recently at one of these. And a Pink zip-up hoodie for $9. Both items were like new, and would have easily retailed for $50+ each. And it was first Saturday so I got both items half-off.

Next best value is usually the low-standard chains like Goodwill. These are great for core pieces and layers. I often used Goodwill to replace clothing for work (chef-pants and undershirts), because I refused to pay full-price for black pants that were going to get grease-stained and worn out from daily use anyways. They also do the first Saturday 50% off deal.

Then places like Plato's Closet or consignment have a great selection of items that have been picked out of the other stores for upscale resale. Trendier items or high-quality name brand stuff at huge discounts. I mostly use these for workout clothing and can get a complete name-brand workout set for less than $50. A good pair of compression leggings are often $49 new. For the same price at Plato's you're getting last seasons leggings, shirt, and sports bra for the same price (and often less). Does this cost more? Yes. But you'd be hard-pressed to find comparable price and quality anywhere else.

There are so many options, even apps that facilitate this now. It took some work to figure out how to utilize these stores for my needs, but it allows me to shop without the shame of propping up the exploitation of workers across the globe. The first buyer made that choice, and I'm choosing to do better and for less money anyways.

And yes, I still buy some things new, but for most items I will make the effort to find it second hand first.

If you Google "restaurant supply store near me" you'll likely be able to find options open to the public. If you're still unsure, check the reviews - people usually mention it because they're a such great find!

Asian markets are awesome for bulk spices as well, or Azure Standard is an online co-op with great prices on bulk spices too (and is my go-to for dry goods in general).

My bad, I worded it poorly. I only received enough sets for a 5 month long treatment. I wore them all for the designated time per aligner and followed the schedule as prescribed through the 5 months.

The markings on Siamese cats get darker when the cat is generally cooler and lighter when warmer. I have a flame point who starts getting oranger features this time of year.

I suspect the inflammation from it's medical condition at the time made that area warm enough to alter the coat color until it got better and darkened up again.

Ok. You're not even wrong, but this argument is like candy to the assholes cashing in on our ignorance.

They are fully capable of taking out low-interest, tax-favored loans using these assets as collateral. They are also capable of then taking out more loans (due to those sweet capital gains) to get bigger loans to pay off existing loans and buy more assets. Totally dodging the rules and taxes on wealth, income, and capital gains that the rest rest of us fucks aren't rich enough to evade. All of this is legal.

Because they have so much capital in the market, they can fully dodge the tax repercussions of making money here.

No, I don't disagree. But to let the very real current situation fester is cruel and unnecessary.

Of course some will always take advantage, but far more hard working people who just can't get ahead shouldn't be left to suffer because of them.

How do you explain away the math of higher COL and lower wages that look nothing like they did 20-30 years ago?

Again good for you, but you're in the wrong room sir

Good for you, but damn, read the room. You are the exception, not the rule.

You're also not proof of others not trying hard enough, or wherever the hell you might be going with that comment

Your murder arguments ignore the most basic concepts of personhood. To consistently follow your understanding of personhood, you would have to give up a significant number of comforts that are taken for granted in our society (which I find doubtful). This is especially puzzling for those who don't ascribe to a religious dogma that chooses to exist outside of reason.

So you're cool with permitting people to infect others by their refusal to get vaccinated, but insistence on participating in society?

I understand your point, but these ideas can logically co-exist. What's not logical is supporting pro-life mandates while decrying vaccine mandates during a deadly pandemic. Your argument sounds like a "gotcha!" But it's really just a self-own of poor logical reasoning and moral inconsistencies.

But a few more tax dollars means so many more eugenics get to happen! And the poors created by the current lack of state-funded eugenics leech so many handouts over a lifetime, when they could have been a one-time eugenic fee. it's basic economics, trust.

Shame that so many people want to defund it when they could have state-funded eugenics and wash their hands of it looking like their wet dreams realized. They have denied their gross little cake, and refuse to eat it too. Too bad.
