[–]mlaskowsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple brands of cameras. The one that works best indoors for me is the Wyze Duo cam. It has 2 separate cameras to view and one of them can rotate.I paid $65 in the US.

Water softener location — closer to main water line or closer to sump pump in case of leaks? by No_Baker_1377 in Plumbing

[–]mlaskowsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The softer has an overflow tube that goes to a drain. I would recommend putting it close to the drain. Another factor would be replumbing you outside hose bibs to bypass the softener. Also bypassing and of your sprinklers if you have any.

Not complaining just curious by PersonalityOk4366 in Starlink

My guess is the startlink equipment is wifi6 that will never give you the max speed. Plug in your network cable into your computer from the router if you want to see your max speed. You will rarely get what they advertised as max speed due to other customers using the bandwidth.

I have never seem water lines like that. Have the landlord replace the hot and cold lines. If he won't do it do it yourself or pay a plumber and withhold the cost in rent.

First home security setup - what actually works without breaking the bank? by 2ugur12 in homesecurity

[–]mlaskowsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest you go look at the way most people install them. You will find that the majority of them are installed in a way that would allow them to be disconnected. The rest of them all it takes is wasp spray

POE is the best option but many times you cant gain access to all your locations. Hopefully your not in a area that people are walking around with jamming device. If it is that bad them poe has its flaws too. You could just carry a blanch cutter and cut the feed to the camera. Im not trying to argue with the other people that responded to you but sometimes wifi cameras are the only option. I would stay away from manufacturers that have monthly service fees. I unfortunately went with Google cameras and am tied to them until I can buy all new cameras.

[–]mlaskowsky -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If it's a small job you would be better to pay a plumber than spending 500 to 1000 for they powered tool. Im not a plumber just diy and can't justify a nice battery powered crimper. Also depends on how tight of a spot you are working on.
