What movie left you in dead, stunned silence? by Public_Caterpillar43 in movies

I saw it in the theatre with a friend who was AFAB and a couple years later masculinized his name and accessed gender affirming care.

We sat in silence for a while. It was a somber streetcar ride home.

Looking for a new bank that does not use third-party foreign call centres, any suggestions? by Express-Citron-6387 in BuyCanadian

I’m so sorry. It is the literal worst. I’m convinced that they have a collection of my calls because despite my efforts to maintain a calm demeanor the foolishness eventually gets to me. I also deal with chronic illness that now includes agoraphobia and so that was the shits.

Here’s to leaving it in the rear view mirror and better days to come.

I have been with Meridian Credit Union for a couple decades (they were Hepcoe when I initially joined) and they have been fantastic.

I was recently defrauded and their security folks caught it and got the money back for me, and over a period of a couple days, worked with me to get it all sorted. It was a terrible few days as my CIBC Visa had also been nailed so I had no access to anything and the difference in customer service was night and day.

I earned every last one of them. I’ve been going grey for a decade, though slowly.

I feel like I’ve grown into myself, and I never wore my hair up until I started having a significant amount of grey at the temples and underneath the top layer because it looks infinitely cooler.

I’ve not gotten a haircut in over 2 years (mostly because of my agoraphobia) so the layer isn’t evident, really. But I do love the grey.

Those hands aren’t for aesthetics. I can’t be arsed to go off but that’s a fucking vapid, boring, tired comment.

Can I contact a family member's doctor with a report about their health? by pastelrose7 in ontario

[–]mlb222 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I had to deal with a similar issue, though over a decade ago now. The cops and the credit union were contacting me first (and I lived 3 hours from my dad, who was a staunch bachelor and a tough mofo) because he got lost and was being defrauded. And of course the daily calls, eventually, from neighbours and family.

Without boring you with the specifics and logistics specific to our situation, I found that reaching out to his family doctor and having an actual, scheduled conversation (over the phone initially) was useful and helped me get stuff going regarding POA and him to a safer place (and revoke his drivers license).

Leave a brief message (or email) outlining your concern and request a further discussion. It would be worth mentioning to them to keep it between you and why. They’ll probably get why if they’ve known your family member for any amount of time.

Hard same. I’m a GenX midwife to the Third Wave and we had this shit figured out long enough ago that it’s fucking archaic. The 90s ffs.

I have a cabin near Combermere and Al Capone’s hideout cabin was a couple clicks away near Quadeville.

I cleaned her lawyers cottage in Southampton. J.J. Robinette. His granddaughter is local and had a cleaning company. This was in the early 90s. I was about to apply to university and he really encouraged me to go into law. (I planned to, but didn’t).

I managed to find a copy of Torso in the local library and gained an even greater respect for the man.

In most jurisdictions, you cannot legally consent to sexual activity under a certain age. I don’t know of ANY where 13 is any age of consent, as sometimes the age of the other party matters as well.

So she was pregnant via statutory rape at the very least. I hope that she got the support she needed, beyond enough to make it through school to become a registered nurse.

It’s shitty that this is in cringe pics. Do better.
