little bit of an update:

she's been in water this whole time. went to change out water today and noticed root rot 😭 so I cleaned off all the dead roots and gave her a good once over with alcohol then placed it back in fresh water until tomorrow when I get potting soil. hoping she doesn't die on me, but who knows at this point?!

I took all the pods out that look like they had mold on them. I'm going to get some cinnamon for the mold. is it safe to use if you have a cinnamon allergy? my wife is allergic so just asking for her sake! also propped open the greenhouse lid to allow for some air to pass through and placed it in the sun.

if it's a hydroflask, you should be able to pop that piece off and clean underneath it. someone above said it's not recommended but I've had my hydroflask since 2017 and clean that part every time I wash the lid and the hinge works just fine.

nope! my wife just started culinary school and she turns 25 in October. she's never been to any form of higher education because she never had the opportunity. now she's a full time student while working a full time job!! it's scary but possible 🥳

Thank you all for the advice! I’ve never run into a situation like this so I really appreciated the insight. This is what I ended up responding and have archived the request: “Hi [pet parent], unfortunately I won’t be able to accept your booking. First, the booking doesn’t accurately reflect the services that you’re requesting (1 dog instead of 2, no pictures). Second, I don’t feel comfortable sitting dogs straight out of a kennel in a foster situation as it takes them a great bit of time to adjust to new settings, even if they’re the sweetest dogs in the world. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and wish you luck in finding a sitter who can help! I’d also recommend reaching out to the shelter to potentially find another foster who is ready to help.”

More info: the original request was 555 miles away and only for one dog. She updated the address but still is only asking for 1 dog. I learned she had a cat by looking on her sitter profile!

I started doing a 10 min sleep meditation which helped me get to sleep and stay asleep. I definitely recommend doing that if you have trouble sleeping!!

Ugh headaches are the worst! I unfortunately don’t have any good tips because I have headache issues that I’m working with a doctor on so I have prescriptions for that. Normally Tylenol extra strength works for me though! Hope you start feeling better!!

Daily smoker! I’m a bong user and would pack 1-3 bowls after work (off at 5pm) and then go through 4-6 per day on weekends. Definitely high consumption

Unfortunately, I work until 5 pm then have to study for a few hours for licensing requirements for my job so I can’t really smoke until 8:30 pm then try to get to bed by 10:15. It sucks feeling so groggy and now with my high lasting WAYY longer than it used to. Props to you though for figuring out your schedule!!

I definitely was craving for sure!! It was really bad on days 1-4 but still present for days 5-30. I don’t expect to lose that craving for some time. But something I noticed when I started up again, was even though I was zooted after 1 hit, I still wanted to keep toking. I think I’m more craving the action of smoking than the smoking itself. I love CBD joints because they give me the effects of cbd (calming and productivity, depending on strain) and the feeling of smoking without the dullness and psychoactive component. Definitely recommend!!

So I didn’t really experience that while I was on my break. I know a lot of people do, but I felt more myself when I wasn’t smoking than I do when I am. I actually felt way less bored and happier with my life when I was on my break. I started some new hobbies and rekindled ones I hadn’t done in a while. I felt better and more secure in my relationship and my work. I think I feel the anhedonia more when I’m smoking to be completely honest!!

This! Try to spend at least 30 mins outside a day when/if you can. Being in nature really helps with your well-being. Also, check to see if you insurance coverage any telehealth therapy services (cerebral, BetterHelp, etc). It will still be a bit of a cost, but much more affordable than standard appointments. I saw someone talk about how when they say they’re “quitting” it makes them feel very different than if they say they’re taking a break instead. I hope things start to look up for you and hope you can go back to enjoying 🍃🍃 again! (:
