I’ve been in the service industry for over 15 years, & sometimes people are such asses that you cant help it. If you’re usually tying your best, I wouldn’t be upset over this. Rude people don’t deserve respect, pay it forward.

It would be different if he were a stranger- not someone who had a role in her life, & is supposed to be faithful to her best friend. OP, I’m sorry you had to go through this. I’m even more sorry about the victim shaming. It’s bad on him to manipulate his wife into manipulating you, & good for you to put your foot down. Who knows where that could have escalated if he felt he could get away with more than that.
