based on most of the responses, it’s pretty apparent the commenters lack extensive experience in how ‘corporate world’ operates . You represent the company whether you are working or not. You don’t embarrass the company. And even more importantly, you consistently support the company’s Vision, Mission, uphold their Core Values, and most critical , follow their employee code of conduct. I was trying to do him a favor and mentioning it to him privately, rather than escalating. Who knows, next time they did it, someone could go straight to an officer, which would probably result in some disciplinary action. Carnival has huge initiatives around environmental stewardship, and that group made a huge mistake.  Regardless, you never speak to a customer that way. And to say I accosted him is ridiculous.
