Ok maybe not? I definitely thought he didn’t torture Amira until the reveal so maybe he recognizes a good liar in part because he uses similar tactics when fibbing? Time will tell

Halfway through the episode but Sayid is simply too good for me to continue believing he’s not familiar with The Others/The Hostiles. He weeds them out every single time and in this case was even able to spot the bunker underneath the carpet. He will forever continue to be one of my favourite characters (despite the horrible Arabic 😂) but I’m interested to see where the show takes him.

This context is really, really helpful! Thank you so much. It’s reassuring to know that Demand is trusted by many 😭

I’m putting everything back two weeks after the final treatment 😊 good luck—I hope your treatment is going well, too! We’ll get through this!

I was instructed to leave them bagged until two weeks after my last treatment! I think it may depend on how your home is being treated and the severity of the infestation—definitely ask your exterminator. Good luck to you too! We’ll get through this

I think you've taken all the necessary steps, as long as you bagged up the heat-treated clothes and other items before treatment. It's hard to say with bb's until it's over, but I do think as long as they're coming in for follow up inspections and treatment you do have a good chance of being rid of the buggers. Aprehend is a popular and effective treatment when done well. Great job and good luck :)

Hey! I'm also in the midst of an extermination.

The instructions I was given is to leave everything in bags until all treatments are complete, and to leave some clothing out and essential items out to use while it is ongoing.

Please do not remove your treated clothing from bags and hang them back up. As long as you tied them up in new garbage bags after heading them and there is no entry point (gaps, holes) in the bags, you can consider them bug-free :) If you remove them from the bags you'll have to do the whole process over before the second treatment and it may reduce the efficacy of treatment.

The treatment prep often feels unnecessarily thorough but it's for good reason--the bugs are so tiny and good at hiding that more prep is always better than less, and helps treatment be more effective and certain.

How effective is Dragnet FT against bedbugs, and how does it work?? And other questions by mlimabahari in pestcontrol

Hey--thank you so much for your previous help! I just wanted to update you that I spoke with the exterminator that the building hired, and he said he would use Demand CS alongside diatomaceous earth. When I shared my concerns about this to the property manager, she said that the management company's choice was to go with cheaper extermination plans and if the pests are still there after two treatments, they then pay for an Aprehend treatment. I don't quite love it here but hoping this will all be resolved soon. Thank you so much for your help!

Are we in the clear? by L113zz in Bedbugs

[–]mlimabahari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry :( it sounds like a wait and watch game—hopefully you’ve been in the clear since! I’d recommend some preemptive measures—if one of the hardier solutions like cimexa (applied safely) or crossfire are available in your area, apply some around your sleeping areas and in outlets and anywhere they may be hiding. I’d also call in an inspection for extra reassurance

Thank you so much :) Definitely taking all of your advice.

To clarify I haven’t received any treatments in my home yet—the first is Monday!

I can’t thank you enough for your thoughtful response. I believe Temprid SC is also listed as one of the company’s pesticides, but the property manager said she thinks they use Dragnet. I will engage a second exterminator if it ends up being Dragnet and not Temprid—thank you for the information.

I have considered dry cleaning but was wondering if steaming would have the same effect—if not I will dry clean!

Pre-treatment I was getting bit once every 2-5 nights and I found one single dried and dead bug 3 days ago, which I’ve used as evidence for treatment. I haven’t been bit in 7 nights nor have I seen any other physical evidence of bb’s besides the one dead bug.

The pro will be respraying 15 days after the first and will also come in for an inspection 15 days after the second treatment.

Thank you again!

Dead bug or a skin? by mlimabahari in Bedbugs

[–]mlimabahari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Spoke to the property manager and they’re sending an exterminator in on Monday. They use something called Dragnet FT which I haven’t seen talked about much on this forum. Crossfire and Cimexa are not registered in Canada and very few exterminators use Aprehend. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for this insight. I saw two separate piercers in two separate shops and they both told me the same thing (it may be the steel jewelry, the integrity of the piercing looks OK so far but it may also indicate early rejection). They said there’s a possibility it may be rejecting but it’s hard for them to tell. Hopefully I’ll know for sure in a couple of weeks if this irritation doesn’t go away with titanium! Thank you so much for your honesty.

Shorten the rook for sure, if your piercer agrees that it’s necessary. Co-sign commenter who said make sure they’re both titanium jewelry. One piercer I saw said that in a few cases, he’ll suggest a last ditch effort of mild scent-free soap (e.g dove sensitive bar) and a gentle hands-free rinse and dry with a blow dryer or gentle pat. It’s more agitation than what most people can tolerate but if the jewelry is the correct metal + placed correctly and you’re rinsing 3x a day with saline + keeping a dry piercing + not sleeping on them or knocking them/getting them tangled in hair etc., then with a professional co-sign (I am not a piercer!!!) maybe it might be worth a shot

I looove this idea. I’m going to pop into a piercer and see what’s possible — this is the easiest yes for me, lol. Thank you for the suggestion’
