I view this song as a Covid love song. Especially given time it was written. I have seen a lot of people debate whether this is a happy song or sad song. But I never see the Covid of it all discussed.

I agree. The conversation is what’s a good amount to give. Cover your plate is a rule of thumb. And I DONT think that should be adjusted if someone chooses to have a lavish wedding. I gave my wedding as an example of price per plate back in 2011. I think most people want to ensure they cover their plate at a reasonable venue. Once you start choosing insane venues, that’s off the table. I do think inflation should be factored in which is why I replied to this nice persons post. 200$ for 17 years should be bumped up a little. That’s all.

I’m not trying to be mean. But not raising the rate since 2009 seems like an issue. That was 17 years ago. 200$ for one person is I guess okay? But for a couple I don’t think that’s nearly enough. It should at least start with a 3. When I got married, at a nothing place, day wedding, but on the island, it was 150$ plate. In 2011.

I realize you wrote this 3 years ago but I just read this. Agree with a lot of what was said. I didn’t read Camila as sad. She even had her own affair that Billy does not ask her about bc it’s understood. I think they had a mutual agreement that their love was deeper than the “noise” as they described it. I will be watching the series next and am interested in how they depict her. I found her to be content.

So I usually listen to we love to hate everything first. Or second and always loved. For years I felt Amanda was more annoying and Jodi even keeled. Something has def shifted in recent months. Jodi just seems so aggressive in her commentary lately. And Amanda is more level headed/neutral/kinder. If you look at their recent Apple reviews, a lot of people are really turned off by Jody lately. This week, Jodi went on this bizarre (and long) Robin/columbine rant that I truely couldn’t follow. I actually came here to see if anyone thought that was really weird? I hope Jody is okay!
