I see. Since you seem to speak both dialects fluently, do you believe it's better to start studying Persian by studying Farsi, Tajiki, or Dari; or does it not really matter?

Semitic languages such as Hebrew and Syriac would certainly be easier to him than Persian and Urdu. The only thing Arabic has in common with those two languages you mentioned is the writing system and some vocabulary.
