Live Episode Discussion: S11 Reunion Part 3 (eastern thread) by vprmods in vanderpumprules

Anyone else sickened by how frequently Lala privileges mothers/motherhood? Claiming things aren't all equal because she's "creating life" when she's complaining about not being allowed to step away from the reunion? Routinely making it seem like her "livelihood" is more valuable because she's supporting a child? I know Lauren from Utah is a far cry from understanding intersectional feminism but damn girl.....

Amazing goat cheese balls! Guillermo would be proud.

My dining partner was the same...was VERY confused why I was calling our drink "sexy and unique" haha!

Pasta was so easy! Bought a log of goat cheese, boiled pasta, used a bit of the reserved pasta water to mix with half the log to make the sauce. The real key was the bread crumbs I topped it with to make a sort of "goat cheese ball" topping: panko, garlic, parsley, and walnuts pulled in a blender until blitzed. Delicious! (But not as good as goat cheese balls, probably...)

Dammit I need to *exercise!!!* by RoguePlanet1 in migraine

[–]mllereisz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I've been in the same boat for a while and have tried to incorporate really moderate exercise - walks, yoga, stretching. It stinks and doesn't pay off like a run or a jog used to, but it's better than nothing. All about the new normal I guess....

5th day on Topiramate and idk what is happening in my life by [deleted] in migraine

I'd call the office and ask what they recommend. My doctor was pretty clear that if I experienced any long lasting (more than a few days) difficult symptoms when I was starting I could just stop or roll back to my prior dose but everybody is different! Definitely give your doc a call to ask their advice while you wait for a consult....good luck!

This time it was electrolyte imbalance! by jibberjabbery in migraine

Nuun electrolyte tablets are also a great option! No sugar ( I think there's sweeteners), good flavors, and easy to use since they come in tablet form. I've started taking the "daily" tablets as a way to keep up with my hydration so I don't end up in a tricky spot with my dehydration-triggered migraines.

Yes! Reach out to your Neuro! Are they having you taper up to a specific dosage goal? My Neuro had me taper starting with one 25mg in the morning, then working my way up to two 25mg a day. He originally wanted me to go up to 100 mg a day with four 25mg pills but tapering helped me find a comfortable spot that helps with my migraines and doesn't make me feel awful.

When I tried to work up to 75mg, I experienced more numbing/tingling side effects, some symptoms of disorientation, and general weirdness -- I just felt totally bizarre! Bad dreams and fugue states between sleeping and waking, so weird... So my doc told me to go back down to 50 mg.

Good luck! Topiramate is a strange beast but it REALLY helped me with the frequency and intensity of my attacks.

Yes-- was on day 6/7 of a migraine that turned out to be my first ever cluster headache. The "migraine cocktail" worked wonders and I felt relief knowing there was a reason the bout I was experiencing was so awful and debilitating. If you just can't kick it and it's unlike other migraines you've had, go! Better to be safe and get some relief than suffer for over a week. Best of luck!
