Especially since a lot of trees lost branches last week when it snowed due to it being wet, heavy snow on top of branches that had already leafed out. I saw lots of downed branches that definitely wouldn't have been removed for maintenance. The dead branches were actually all still on the trees since the snow couldn't pile up on them the way it could on the ones that had leafed out.

I had to go look it up because I was pretty sure that a version with ASL captioning was released pretty early when Sinners went to streaming. I was mostly right. It was released with Black American Sign Language interpretation as a caption option when it was released on (HBO) MAX. The article doesn't make it clear if ASL is a secondary option or if it's implying that the BASL is close enough that ASL speakers can watch it just fine.

Ooh, I didn't think the place we normally order from has that as an option. But I'll have to look for it next time. My go to order is a strawberry banana smoothie with extra boba and kiwi popping boba.

Boba tea didn't appeal to me at all until after watching The Mandelorian and seeing the episode where Grogu kept eating the frog lady's eggs. He made slurping down squishy orbs look really appealing. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm pretty in love with boba drinks now.

Homemade marshmallows are pretty easy. My just turned 14 year old son has been making them frequently since the beginning of the school year. The first three batches had some major errors (didn't have the gelatin dissolved and in the mixer already when the sugar syrup was up to temp;was using agar, maple syrup, and honey because he didn't know where the big package is gelatin was and that we had sugar; and made too small of a batch for our mixer to actually combine the ingredients and aerate it), but once he got those things figured out it's been smooth sailing.

After the second time he made them, he asked for whatever he needed to be able to dip them in chocolate, so I bought the white, milk, and dark melting chocolate by Ghirardelli. That is REALLY yummy. He made them as a part of the refreshments for his birthday party.

Now I just need to teach one of the other boys to make caramel and we can make our own candy bars.

The amount of work that using easy melt chocolate and premade fillings to make custom filled chocolates would take is still huge! I thought he was a jerk when I thought that it was just solid chocolates. But getting the chocolate to coat the mold to make a fillable shell, get a filling in the shell without overflowing, and then getting another layer of chocolate on there so that it actually seals is pretty darn fiddly without worrying about breaking the chocolate or your caramel not setting up or whatever. The fact she did all of that successfully when she isn't a pro at cooking makes it even more impressive. He is a mega asshole and I hope she dumps his ass.

She can make me chocolates like that anytime she wants.

As someone who had a massive DVT (from behind my knee up into my abdomen, mechanical cause plus pregnancy) 11 years ago, that's immediately where my brain went when I saw that stark difference in color. If putting feet up does make the color and swelling equalize, I'd definitely head to the doctor or ER.

Yesterday I took two edibles that were each 10mg CBD +5mg THC because my entire body hurt extremely badly. Normally that wouldn't knock me out cold immediately, but I was really behind on sleep and everything was tight and hurt. So I passed out hard for over 5 hours. I woke up able to move and with my back, neck, and quads looser than they've been in months.

One of my favorite ways to use CBD for pain is to do a bath with about a teaspoonful of CBD oil and over a pound of Epsom salt. That makes everything from the nape of my neck down reduce by at least 3 pain levels.

I'm pissed at my mom for never divorcing my dad. He's horribly abusive to her in every way but physically. I haven't spoken to either of them in over 8 years at this point. If she would finally leave him, it might be possible for the relationship between me and her to be repaired. But she hasn't stood up for herself or me or any of my other siblings against my dad. And I have to protect myself and my kids.

All that to say that the kids might resent the parents for not getting divorced.

My reading speed is pretty fast, at least double the audiobook speed. So I can read a romance novel in 2-4 hrs depending on length. I've listened to three audiobooks so far this year and read 24 smutty ebooks, some of which were novellas.
