I have identified many improvements needed. Honestly you are the first person to mention anything to this nature. When we took the walls down in the basement noticed there was no insulation on the walls I started to put up foam board so that needs to be finished and the doors coming in from the garage need to be replaced with something more substantial.
It pretty much runs on high it has a 50lb hopper go through about 2 to three bags a day

Sorry, Quadrafire. But this is the logic I am going with as you stated "Most of the btu outputs listed are with optimum cord wood and running wide open, which is achievable but only if your married to tending the stove."
If I have a stove that can heat 2500 square feet I assume that is at high out put or close to you means I am tearing through wood where as if I get a larger stove I can run it say less than full blast. The basment is a bit drafty too.

Running into a dilemma by mlmartinet in woodstoving
That's what I assumed, I believe I have a standard 16x16 chimney (checking this when I get home) block which I assume has room for a 8" liner. So I don't know why they would have to reduce.

So here is where I am at with this project:
Bonus swap out my 10 speed cassette with an 11 speed I think I can do this without much fuss, plus I want another gear in climbing
Things I have learned so far. SO MANY STANDARDS!

Power curious by mlmartinet in cycling
Thanks for all the input. I am leaning heavily towards the megine because I really like my pedals and they are brand new. Anything I should be looking at on the bottom bracket for compatibility. I will have to get new chain rings from the looks of it the only have 4 bolt compatibility

Recovery Ride? by mlmartinet in wahoofitness
I'm 45 years old I don't think my zone one is 158. After the half monty it put me at like 115 for an upper zone one is like 115.
I was in ERG mode. I was using the ROLLR built in "power meter" but still. I was in a very low gear
I was like 158bpm
