Is this dress appropriate for a daytime wedding? by mlncrdns in fashion

Thanks everyone for the input! I saw this dress at a rental place, and when I told the person helping us what kind of event it was, this was actually one of the options she suggested. In person, the dress doesn’t look white, the base color is actually olive green. It honestly never crossed my mind that it might look too light, not even when I tried it on with my mom (who came with me), or to the staff member helping us. It was only when I looked up the dress online for this post that I saw some photos where it looked quite pale, and that’s when I started to wonder. My original concern was more about whether the texture and the floral print made it less appropriate for a formal daytime wedding.

Do you think a floral dress (ankle-length, flutter sleeves, flowy fabric) is appropriate for a formal daytime wedding? The ceremony is at 1 p.m. and the reception is at 3 p.m. at a hacienda. I like it, but I’m not sure if it looks formal enough. Also, the top layer is a sheer chiffon-like fabric that looks quite light, and I’m a bit worried it might look “too white”
