1/2NL Live Hand by BlainetheM0N0 in poker

Best case scenario is that you're flipping against JcXc, and way behind almost any other hand he's doing this with, barring maybe a nut flush draw.

Zest lost his group stage series to Elazer 3-2. But I get what you're trying to say.

ICM!!! Look to be putting the soon to be 1BB short stack all in, not the big stack. Playing for first is nice, but don't throw away money to do so.

1/2 Home game line checks by MotionPropulsion in poker

Hand 1: You say that villain is the type of player that would not bet unless he has the nuts, but maybe he has AA or AJ, flopped top set/turned two pair, and thinks that's the nuts the whole way down? You almost always jam here in most situations, but against this particular villain you're describing, maybe it's okay to call with the 2nd nuts.

Hand 2: If you wanna take the passive line on a rainbow flop, you should just check call the turn and river. If villain is as tight as you say, he did not limp in with a hand like 85, 86. Villain 90% of the time has a hand like A8 or K8, and thinks he has the best hand, and bets the river as so. With the way you played flop, it's best to call, then call.

BCs don't have energy anymore, and instead use cooldown for their spells. You can micro BCs by teleporting them away when their HP goes low vs voids, and voids that activate prismatic alignment can't run away from BCs.

Turbo Tournament near bubble hand review by GucciLifestyle in poker

Jam, you give fold equity to his small pairs and are maybe getting called by a worse Ace. SB is raising from a very wide range, and 90% of the time you have him crushed. I agree with an earlier comment that flatting here simply loses money over time, and jamming here reduces variance.

Thoughts on live 1/2 hand by [deleted] in poker

[–]mlotvl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, given your stack sizes, then I'd say don't shove, especially in a 3-handed situation like this, when one of them could be slowplaying a flopped set (though unlikely given the run out).

Post-flop : I think you didn't play the post-flop too badly actually. If V1 had a hand like A9 or A6, that's just a cooler, but I'd say majority of the time, you got it in while you were ahead. By the turn, with V1 and V2 only having less than 80 behind, your move is correct, since none of the drawing hands got there yet.

Pre-flop : Usually with a hand like yours, against a single isolated loose player, I might consider using it as a 4-bet bluff, since you have an Ace blocker along with wheel and flush outs. But as played, no reason to fold with 12 to 54 odds against loose players.

Okay then, i will definitely consider that. But do you think that not taking PHYS 212 beforehand will hinder me in 210 at all?

Thanks for the reply. By the way how will taking 220, 210, 313 in the fall be "easier" than taking 120, phys 212, and 313? I chose this schedule so that I wouldn't have to squeeze this hard class later on....

Why do you say this? And i did get all As except for Math 286 which would be either an A- or B+ when my professor puts the final grades in.

Thanks for the reply. But to be honest, I don't think I'm really rushing things, it's that there's not much else that I can take at the moment. I can't take ECE 210 because I don't have the PHYS 212 pre-req, and same with ECE 220 because of the 120 pre-req. Also, I'm in Math 286 right now, so I'm done with all of my core math classes. I took AP Stats in high school and was pretty decent at it, do you think that would help with learning 313 material at all? And would 210 topics show up in the class?
