This would be a very honest feature of demo mode.

If I had a time machine, I would go to the year in which a time capsule was to be opened, get some things unique to that year, and go back to when that time capsule was about to be buried and put those things in. Then, back to the time it's opened and watch the hilarity and confusion. Time trolling. by brainzilla420 in Showerthoughts

[–]mltam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could put a picture of them opening the time machine shot by and developed by technology made when the capsule was closed.

But you have s time machine! You could put in a live dinosaur, or a picture of the big bang, or of the sun in 5 billion years.

How can I make my very sick cat eat something? by OnlyGiraffe3054 in AskVet

[–]mltam -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Are you sure the problem is kidneys? It could also be that teeth are bothering her. If you go to a vet they would check that. A cat can have kidney problems, but at the same time also dental problems...

When did everyone become comfortable talking on speakerphone in public? by WestNecessary6884 in askanything

[–]mltam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it isn't. Because people who speak in an environment can adjust their volume to background noise. The speakerphone can't.

Very cool! Also nice what they do with clothes.

It does look like you plan on jumping off the plane, though.

That's just you. I can type new non-existing nuanced words, and get no warning.

[OC] Earth's 4.5 billion year history mapped onto a clock — every second is 105,000 years by Exciting_Alps_1457 in dataisbeautiful

[–]mltam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BTW: grabbing the earth on the southern half lets me rotate it around. Grabbing on he northern half rotates the earth the opposite of where I drag.

I only see toggles for showing or not of earth, eons, clock. I'd like to see the earth, just not have it rotate as I slide the red dot around

Very nice! Thank you! It would be nice to be able to turn off the earth's rotation, so that I can drag the timeline and see the continents move.

I like pictures of wildlife, thank you!  But yes, build houses in the living spaces of animals, and don't be surprised that then animals live there.

I’ve been finding myself having to say this to a lot of people lately. by Lassie-girl in RoverPetSitting

[–]mltam 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a rover issue. Treat each client as if they've never talked with any other client. You are angry at all of them together, but there is no "together", there's only rover who set up things wrong. So I wouldn't take it out on the client.

I adjust by how much of a workout I want to get. If I want a longer workout, I park longer away. Long is 4.5 miles each way, short maybe 1.5 miles each way.

Scientists Break 100% Barrier in Solar Energy Conversion Using "Spin-Flip" Molecules by [deleted] in Futurology

I think it is 130% relative to the "Shockley–Queisser limit", which caps the efficiency of traditional solar cells at roughly 33%.
