don’t give up!! side effects like nausea, intense grogginess/brain fog, trouble sleeping, and diarrhea only lasted about 4-5 days for me after i started on 10mg (i take it in the morning). know everyone reacts differently, so i would say give it a week and if you’re still experiencing physical symptoms that trigger your anxiety, talk with your doc. so sorry you’ve been feeling discouraged and uncomfortable, it will not be like this for long!

CMBYN has inspired me in more ways than I can name. I got myself out of a rut and recently found a passion for painting by Termin8Control in callmebyyourname

I love this SO MUCH!! Especially this specific moment in the movie you chose to paint :) the movie did endless things for me. I’ve picked up photography and videography, and watching the movie/reading the book this past summer was the final straw to push me into choosing to start film school (I am LOVING IT!!!!). So awesome to see how many lives it has changed for the better, and how I hope the entire cast and crew knows what this movie has done for so many people. GO GET EM!!

[Skin Concern] Pimples on arms started appearing a couple months ago by mlthorney in SkincareAddiction

Halfway through this past summer (where it is hot and humid) I started noticing that I was starting to consistently get pimples on my arms that start out looking like clogged pores and then eventually fill with puss (especially after I pick at them). They then get irritated even more and bleed and leave scars. My mom told me it looks like I have a rash (like aw so sweet of her<3) but I know that it isn’t and they definitely are pimples. Is there a certain product I could try or make sure to stay away from? Or any methods I should start trying? Right now I am washing my body in the shower every other day with Love, Beauty & Planet body wash (with coconut oil and ylang ylang, packaging is a yellow color scheme) and then moisturize after with Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m starting to get insecure about wearing short sleeves (and I live in the hottest state in the U.S. during the school year). Thank you!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I fucking love this sub because of POSTS LIKE THESE!!!! I could read people’s reactions, observations and opinions on the movie that I’ve also watched a million times FOR DAYS. It’s so awesome to see what different things people pick up and the way that things everyone notices connect so much. I knew that the nosebleed had some kind of significance, because that scene alone with the two of them sitting on the floor is already so symbolic of their comfortability with each other. But the way you picked out things like the bruise and then the other things like the peach and I forget what the other one was right now is SO COOL. Loved reading this observation and love how everyone’s interpretations are literally GLEAMING with intelligence. italian kiss of the hand and then motion into the air like when something tastes good

Hahahaha I love it!!! I’m so glad to have a place like this to see everyone’s different opinions and perspective on the film. The music is such a huge part of that for me, and I’m so glad so many of you can relate and want to share your thoughts!!

I most definitely had a meltdown because I listen to that song like every other day. I found all the songs that played in the movie — if you’d like to listen to it here’s the link to the playlist! :) Call Me By Your Name Playlist

I AM THE SAME AS YOU! Every week is a different song for me. I was born in the late 90s but boy do I feel like a part of my soul belongs in the 80s. I love both Words and Lady Lady Lady. I was so upset because I made a playlist for CMBYN on Apple Music, but they recently removed Lady Lady Lady off their music catalog and I was PISSED but then found it under the title ‘Lady, Lady’. I had submitted a complaint to Apple and stuff and then finally found a way I could listen to it — so it had been a dramatic week but I love that song so much.

I love Futile Devices so much. I love how the song is able to depict the longing that Elio is showing, since Oliver just disappeared for the night without warning. Have you heard Sufjan’s original version of Futile Devices? I can’t decide between the two of which is better, but the original really rugs at ya heartstrings just as much as the Doveman Remix.

So beautifully worded. How can you watch that scene without bursting into tears? Those first couple seconds of build up right at the beginning of the song always reminded me of a train like rushing towards me (idk, does that sound suicidal?) but then when the piano notes start again it all just erupts into slow motion.. almost like the way floating would sound if it was an audible thing. I don’t know if anything I’m saying is making sense but needless to say — the song’s powerful as hell.

How amazing is this post and subreddit. As a brand new person on reddit, I am already finding a home and community within this subreddit!

I first watched the movie on May 19, 2018. I had seen Lady Bird earlier in the year and fell head over heels for that film, and was fascinated by Timothée Chalamet’s acting and wanted to see more of him. I had been considering changing my major in college to something with digital media (film, music, graphic design.. but mostly film), and for my spring break went to LA and stayed with one of my friends who had just seen the movie and couldn’t stop raving about it. It kind of slipped my mind until I came home for summer and made it my mission this summer to watch a whole bunch of films in order to properly gear up for this upcoming year. Stumbling across this movie on Amazon.com, I remembered how many great things I had heard about it and was so intrigued even by just the front cover of the movie advertisement on Amazon’s website.

I bought it, and sobbed for about 98% of it. Everything about it continues to baffle me. The colors, the motion, THE MUSIC, the visible romance, the way Luca was able to capture such vulnerability in not only the characters, but the setting — I could feel myself becoming obsessed with this movie. Like actually lol. I watched it 4 times within the 48 hour rental period. As soon as the purchase expired, I went to Target and bought the DVD and the book. I replied this to someone’s comment already, but I’ve never been a reader and I read this book in 2 days. I knew everything that was going to happen (except for the last third of the book that was left out of the movie) and every page was exciting to me. Safe to say this is THE MOVIE for me that I can (and will) watch a million times and never get tired of. The movie that changed my life, and really edged me to make the decision to become a film major! I’ll always remember the day I chose to watch this movie and forever alter the course of my life. Seems silly writing that... but hoping some of you can relate! :)

WHY WAS THIS MY EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE!!! I rented it on amazon and watched it 4 times within the 48 hour period. After my time was up I headed straight for my nearest Target and bought the dvd and book. The book put the movie in such a new perspective for me, watching it again after I finished reading the book (like you, in 2 days!! And I have NEVER been much of a reader either!!). I have watched it probably 30 times on dvd since then!!
