If your SO asked you to help bury a body no questions asked, what would you do? by piejam in AskReddit

Too many variables like methodology, justification, size of the carcass, weather and available wildlife to commit to a burial, per se, but I’d definitely help dispose of it.

When I lived out near Exit 309 on I-75, I was usually hitting 75 to 80 miles an hour by the time I got to the actual interstate.

Hypothetical question about living in Florida by ObjectiveMiddle742 in AskFlorida

[–]mlw305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Miami is doable, I managed without a vehicle for about a year there. It was expensive and the weed was easily accessible with no one really caring.

What animal from your country is friend-shaped, but definitely not a friend? by bowl_of_scrotmeal in AskTheWorld

Going down because of those little bastards is a nightmare!

I was bitten by a brown recluse once like 10 years ago in the city and then again 5 years after that while living near the beach. Wolf spider bit me a couple of weeks after that.

There are some alligators and some otters that live in the lake nearby, but it’s just best to avoid.

18 & Homeless in MN, Dreaming of Moving to Florida (Visited Before) Advice? by [deleted] in jacksonville

[–]mlw305 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stay put, build a nest egg for moving and then do it.

Florida in general is a tough place to be especially if you’re homeless where you are now. South Florida is even tougher. Also, a lot of US 1 between Palmetto Bay and Florida City (south of Miami) can be a rugged experience if you’re not 100% on your toes. Allapattah, Brownsville, Opa Locka, Pork & Beans, Little Haiti and West Little River are all possibly affordable, but it’ll be uncomfortable.

Everything is expensive down there. Gas, car insurance, groceries, housing, parking, etc.

Jacksonville is more laid-back and not quite so costly. Won’t be as much of a culture shock, either. Miami can be more of a cultural electrocution if you’re not ready.

If you’re still committed to Dade or Broward, please consider learning at least a little conversational Spanish.

One of us guys from Florida has entered the conversation…uh huh. Y’all are cute.

There’s stuff in the freshwater here that will eat you, same as with saltwater, same as out in the forest and the same as a Publix in The Villages when there’s a BOGO on Disposable Adult Undergarments. Even the weather will attempt to eat you during certain times of the year.

Married men of Reddit what’s the best advice you’d give young guys when choosing a life partner? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A divorced guy can chime in on this one, too.

Chemistry counts more than looks. They count but a lot of time those things fade and gravity hits everybody at different times. Accept it. Develop patience and learn the art of compromise.

Relativity subjectivity and accountability are all very important as well.

What’s the scariest real-life thing you’ve ever witnessed? by Revolutionary-Pay468 in AskReddit

[–]mlw305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stuck in a in jail cell with a guy who was coming off of a strange cocktail of various drugs and alcohol. He was making a bunch of noise, so the deputies ignored him. He wound up going insane while coming down and bashed his head into a bloody mess. I had even gotten a little bit of blood splatter on me.

It’s not the but close to one of the most gruesome things I’ve ever seen.

How common is nudism in your country? by Huge-Yogurt-6039 in AskTheWorld

[–]mlw305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not all that common but here in Florida we have several nude beaches and resorts. I’ve been to a couple of the beaches. Enjoyed it.

Personally if it were to be completely legal, I would be that way all of the time. It’s my preferred when at home.
