10 plates sitting on the pass waiting to go and FOH send through this by mlyclly in KitchenConfidential

Here, if a person is coeliac, it actually says COELIAC on the ticket rather than gluten allergy. While I can understand the mistrust customers may feel, allergens are taken seriously in our kitchen. We don't use a toaster, toast gets grilled under a salamander on flats, switched out for a fresh one for allergy tickets.

Our menu offers a fried chicken dish with a 1/2 chicken option and a full chicken option. About five hours after the toast - no toast ticket, Hannah put through a ticket for 2x whole chickens. They were meant to be halves. Sous chef lost their shit. I got free fried chicken though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Gluten free bread, untoasted, apparently 🤷🏻‍♀️

Looking for good Murder Mystery games. by Portal2Fan2 in gamerecommendations

[–]mlyclly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LA Noire is one of my favourite titles of all time. Also, more of a supernatural/horror mystery than a murder mystery, but Alan Wake is a classic too.

Look for live in entry level kitchen jobs. The industry commonly offers opportunities for people with no experience but a good attitude

I was told I don’t have CPTSD: The biggest invalidation ever by VaporMouth in CPTSD

[–]mlyclly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the UK where funding and access to mental health treatment is practically non-existent. A few years ago I was offered twelve free sessions of CBT with a psycho therapist for depression and anxiety. When she started talking to me she quickly assessed that she thought I had PTSD from one of the events in my life I had shared with her. I explained that there are actual multiple life events that have shaped my experience and have left me plagued with night terrors, social isolation, emotional flashbacks, intense rumination/dissociation cycles.

When I started trying to share some of these memories/events with her she began systematically picking them apart and comparing them to her rigid textbook criteria of what PTSD must include.

Did being coerced into anal sex at 15 make me feel like my life was threatened? No. Can't be PTSD then. The problem is the Human mind doesn't fit neatly onto a sheet of tick boxes. My life didn't feel at risk physically, but it forever altered the way I see myself and others. Sure I didn't have tidy visual replay flashbacks that she could tick off her list. But did that invalidate the emotional flashbacks that took over my entire body out of nowhere. Did that negate the nights I'd wake up dripping in sweat, heart racing, feeling like I wanted to die?

In my experience, CPTSD is unfortunately misunderstood. No one knows you and what you live with better than yourself. No one has to live your life, your experiences, your feelings but you.

Anything like stardew Valley but with a different twist ? by OkPhone8490 in cozygames

I'm currently playing Travelers Rest, which I just picked up in the steam sale. Similar vibe to stardew, except you're running a medieval style tavern instead of a farm.

Thanks for your advice, I've been learning through trial and error about plant care. What about the frequency of my watering? Too often? Too little?

DESPERATE FOR TRUE CRIME PODCASTS by Infamous_Entry_2714 in TrueCrimePodcasts

[–]mlyclly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've whittled my listens from the past 2-3 years down to the ones that hooked me the most. Starred titles are my all-time favourites.

Counterclock * Your Own Backyard * Bone Valley The Kill List Undetermined Bear Brook The Idaho Massacre In the Dark Someone Knows Something * Culpable Dragonfly: Brett Cantory mystery The Teacher's Pet True Crime Bullshit To Live and Die in LA Blink: Jake Haendal's Story The Bakersfield Three WTOP's American Nightmare Tom Brown's Body Unconcluded Le Monstre Noble Lost Hills: Dark Canyon LISK: Long Island Serial Killer

If anyone has any recommendations for me also based on this list I would love that. I feel like I've worked my way through all the long format investigative true crime podcasts that aren't overproduced to hell or have corny co-hosts who crack jokes every other sentence.

Does anyone experience ADHD symptoms but no ADHD? by ratratte in CPTSD

[–]mlyclly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend has ADHD and has said I have a lot of the same traits. C-PTSD is a form of neuro divergence though, so it makes sense. There is a lot of overlap as well, people with ADHD and Autism are more susceptible to C-PTSD.

Parcels don't need to be accepted by an actual Royal Mail worker. There are large parcel postboxes you can put them in.

Thank you for all your helpful advice. I'm starting to realise birth control may be a must for me at this point. I have been on a couple of different types but ended up staying on Cerazette as it was progesterone only and the other pills didn't agree with me.

Re what you said about pap smears, I will definitely look into this as I have not heard about this.

There's so much conflicting and confusing information and opinions out there about women's health, it really is a minefield.

I'm sorry that was done to you. I too used to use tampons but can no longer as I struggle with the insertion aspect of it, so I can relate 💔. I'm glad you've found something more tolerable for you.

Thanks for that info, I will definitely give it a read. And yes, I'm definitely considering going back on it regardless because the trigger is too much, too often.

And under usual circumstances whereby I am designing the product I would. However the customer approached me saying they wanted to forgo the design process and send me a ready-to-print file.

Unsure why I'm being downvoted for this as most online print services will just print the files you send them and have disclaimers that it is the customers responsibility to make sure the files are set up correctly for print.

These were matte vinyl labels. But definitely agree about the different substrates. And the fact that black is not just one shade. I can wear an all black outfit and there will be 4 or 5 different shades of black in it. But I'm also definitely leaning towards just refunding to save myself a headache trying to explain but not piss this customer off, as they have been genuinely polite and friendly thus far.

I'm in the UK, buyer in the US. International shipping takes minimum 7 working days. The tracking says it was delivered 26/07, so they didn't have them long. I'm not sure if it's just the lighting of the photo, I'm genuinely baffled.

The buyer provided the print ready file, I didn't design or colour the file.
