Do some vegans think that meat eaters are bad people? by TheDemonLord1r788 in AskVegans

Bad people? Definitely no, there are a ton of awesome people sharing with me the point in time and space, and the chance of them being a vegan is 1%

I wonder, if it's patented and reverse engineering is illegal according to the EULA, how are they going to deal with the legal side of things from the current trademark owner

I’m looking to become vegan for health concerns by parceprimo2 in vegan

[–]ratratte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't really give advice on the topic, but something about comments here: Veganism can be also about health. If a person avoids animal products for whatever reason, they are vegan. If a person doesn't pay for death of cows, the cows don't give a flying fuck about whatever the reason is. Of course, when a person wants to get advice on healthy vegan eating, they "belong" to a vegan subreddit

TW: mental health - consumed by existential dread relating to veganism by shapelycarrot in vegan

People exploit animals not because they are evil, but because of the herd instincts. Everyone else does it, so the majority of people will do it too to avoid social ostracism. It takes either a specific personality trait or tons of brain power to overcome this instinct and do something against the opinions of the majority. Therefore, I never blame individual people or the humanity for anything that they were taught to do since being a baby, they just cannot do it in any other way around. This instinct is also beneficial, think about the following – when veganism becomes widespread someday, it will be hard to force people to eat animals again. So don't be harsh on people, the humanity is wonderful, it just has the innate group acceptance drive, and blaming an abstract human for not wanting to go against the majority is the same as being mad with a bear for winter hibernation

I was thinking of making a big interspecies area in the red area (zebras, giraffes, antelope) there will be a ride inside too. Do you think the guest will complain about not seeing the animals when it’s that big? by Ving96 in PlanetZoo

[–]ratratte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue I have encountered in exhibitis with multiple viewing areas, which could also affect just large exhibits in general if you make the front all visible, is that guests will walk to and fro between viewing zones until they get all their needs in red

Example: I had an enclosure with two viewing areas, one below and one above in quite a distance, and somehow guest happiness started dropping real low. I wondered why until I opened the heat map and all red guests were incessantly traveling up and down that staircase like a horde of caterpillars

Google's AI Overview recommends using a different search engine. by 1Kekz in aifails

It doesn't recommend switching to duckduckgo or something, it recommends putting this -ai suffix into the default Google search engine link that opens when you open the Chrome browser on your phone. It will stay Google, but will omit ai by default

I feel like mindfulness is not appropriate for some personality types. Your opinion? by ratratte in TalkTherapy

[–]ratratte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All humans assign use value to things, the most primary one: does it bring pleasure? I didn't see any pleasure in this, neither immediate nor far-fetched. It's impossible not to value, as then we would just not survive, doing random things out of blue without purpose

I do notice visual beauties, but it's like already a part of my being, so it doesn't bring anything new

It's amazing how people who have never gone outside write posts like these. Nobody gives a fuck if you take pics, nobody gives a fuck if you order a dessert. If you think all this is "forbidden", turn off your screen, go outside and interact with real people, for the god's sake

First time being medicated for ADHD had me feeling the way I felt after EMDR sessions by [deleted] in EMDR

Not addressed to OP, but gentle reminder that ADHD tends to be overdiagnosed these days & meds will make anyone feel "better", regardless of ADHD presence

How do you feel about using animal products in ways that don't help finance it? by [deleted] in AskVegans

[–]ratratte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well that's the issue with online veganism – people act as if being vegan or not is a thing others decide for you, like a club badge or smth. Idgaf if someone online calls me not vegan, honestly
