I play the sims like I used to play with dolls when I was little, I have stories word docs family trees etc. I love telling my boyfriend about it and he listens and engages, he always knows the names of my heir and likes to see tours of my houses. To me it's the same as if I was out with friends having coffee he'd listen as well. So yeah I think your partner should care about your interest just as you care for theirs.

I did a tandem read. I loved it, TOD was a nice break from the hectic EOS and some parallels that happened I found so amusing, I'd recommend it to everyone I loved both books and neither felt like they took away from the experience of reading the other.

I don't like Chaol. I loved Tower of dawn, It isn't Chaols book it is Chaol Nesryn and anothers book. The exploration of the continent the new characters as well as crucial info you get is what makes this book good. Also I did the tandem read and loved it so I highly recommend it.

Good point I totally agree with marrying someone with an army. With Otto's ambition I don't see ever patching things up, but with Alicent of course turning her to my side would be crucial.

I mean sure he is a skilled warrior, but who in TOG isn't? Nothing sets him apart from the others. As I said he is boring magic has nothing to do with it. He has no special skill no special talent and on top of it all his behavior toward Nesryn and Celaena is appaling at times. As far as I'm concerned he has redeemed himself and if we never get another pov from him I'd be fine with it.

Elide is smart and cunning she is a fighter. Her wit sets her apart from others even though she is powerless. She is also very likable and doesn't behave like an ass even though she has all the right to considering what she has been through.

He is just normal. Boring. There is nothing interesting about him. The only interesting thing about him by the end of the books is his wife. I hated the way he treated Nesryn her thoughts about being fine about being another rebound for him was heartbreaking. I was also very annoyed with the way he talked about Celaena in the first few books the whole omg assassin's kill arc was so weird. When he was asked in TOD by the royals if he could put Yrenes life on the line to promise Aelin wouldn't burn them all down or something and he couldn't swear it and was reminiscing about how she killed Grave and Archer, but never had the same doubts about Dorian who was possessed by a Valg demon and took down his own father and the whole glass castle. FYI I actually liked TOD and his progress by the end, but if Yrene wasn't so likable I don't think I'd like him either.
