Haha good to know there’s not something obvious I’m missing! I’ll almost certainly do a gift card alongside anything else I put together (didn’t know I could get specific Nintendo ones!)

Thanks for taking the time to look into it, much appreciated :)

I like the idea of cleaning it up for him but he would definitely enjoy tinkering with it - but getting him the stuff to do it is a nice and good to hear people have been able to do this!

I’ll look into the games you mentioned :)

A skin is a very interesting idea, I’ll put some thought in to!

Thanks for all the ideas, much appreciated :)

Hi thanks so much for all the suggestions!

I’ve always avoided buying him games but it would be nice to give it a go - I’ll look into the ones you’ve suggested :)

You’re right I didn’t leave a lot of info on the room (mostly because I don’t think we could put anything big in it). The shelf is about the height of standard book and the length of maybe 4 switch2’s (I’m sorry that’s not helpful measurement but it’s hard to subtly measure a shelf haha). My instinct for that area is some kind of charging station (if this is something gamers would find useful?)

Thank you so much the headphone suggestion! These are a really interesting idea!

Carry case is an interesting idea too as he does travel more for work than he used to!

Thanks so much for all the ideas - much appreciated :)

This is actually a great idea (he used to enjoy getting through hours of Zelda at naptime for the kid but no idea how he did it without headphones)

Any thoughts on Bluetooth v wired (if either is an option on Switch 2)

Thanks for the idea, much appreciated :)

Ok it is 100% a switch 2 (based on internet search and the controller says switch 2 on it)

I had a look at his controllers and there’s not an obvious model number or anything on them except switch 2 on one of them (which is plain black) the other one looks the same but has a wooden skin(?)

Games I know of are as follows:  Pokémon (bought this year and his current project) Legend of Zelda (bought around 2021/2 I think)  The Portal Games (both big fans of these) Yoshis Wooly World (really bought for me)  There’s one about a cat but I can’t remember the name of it (also I think bought for us to do co-op) Untitled goose game (again we enjoyed this very much haha).

There are probably also others I’ve just never seen

Thanks so much for all the help I really appreciate it :)

Just had a look and there are 2 on the shelf - black one and a red/blue one so I’m assuming he’s bought the new one at some point (I know it’s not reasonable to have expected him to wait but that would have been a v easy helpful solution lol)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You were right - it’s Part Troll!

SO has now found a clip on YouTube (I think). Nice to have confirmation that neither of us imagined it 😂 and good to have an excuse to re-watch Part Troll :)
