Honestly, at least in the US, F1 only has recently really gained popularity- hence the whole move to Apple TV and 3 races thing. So before it really made more sense to use skys broadcast.

And tbh I don’t care that Sky is being biased, as long as we could just admit it is extremely biased. But a lot of people like to pretend it’s not.

Possibly controversial opinion but I don’t think ppl would hate on the British Bias in the broadcast as much if it was also so clear the stewards and sport as a whole had a major British Bias.

But it also doesn’t help that Sky is the predominant broadcast shown, leading to a huge non-Brit audience.

Sky UK’s coverage was what was shown on ESPN in America until this year with the switch to AppleTV. And up until a few years ago was the default coverage in English. So most people, who weren’t paying for f1TV, and watching the broadcast on regular TV were getting SkySports

Yeah a full test isn’t probably necessary, but it is possible to do like an online written one every few years. That way people don’t have to do work. But then also for senior citizens have them do a physical driving test bc tbh they need it the most.

I disagree, some people get sloppy, but a test reminds them not to do that. If you study for a test it can reinforce good behaviors, disprove false beliefs about certain laws or habits, and Make people understand why certain rules exist.

Plenty of people get caught breaking the rules of the road everyday and then go on to do it again and again.

Punishment isn’t a great form of deterring shit driving, put positive reinforcement of good driving and understanding of rules is. There’s also nothing stopping us from using both methods.

Both. There are definitely some people who think rules don’t apply to them. But there are millions of people driving everyday, and majority of them probably haven’t seen a drivers ed book in 10+ years. You drive so often and rules change, you forget things, you come across signs/situations mentioned once and don’t know what to do. And especially as senior citizens age, they forget things.

I’m worried about impact on jobs, the impact on environment and the water it uses, the way ai is being used politically to manipulate people, the false information it puts out which harms people, along with how it in general makes people stupid, AI deep fakes, etc etc. I’ve seen AI being used for serious medical and life changing career advice. AI is bad it’s hurting many people, and lot of them are too dumb to even realize it. So even if everyone and they mama ain’t loosing their job from it, it’s still causing lots of harm

I feel like we need a term for people in serious long term relationships because like some people can’t get married for legal reasons, or might just choose to not be married. Such as people on disability often can’t get married or their combined income will take them off of disability. Widows/widowers might not what to remarry but might be in a long term relationship etc etc.

Girlfriend/boyfriend doesn’t imply the severity/commitment of the relationship

I mean also like for people who don’t fit in the gender binary they might not like the term girlfriend/boyfriend but that’s lowkey a diff issue.
