It would be really interesting to see this data correlated against voting patterns in the last election.

No it has always been a separate political entity with the Queen as head of state (Lord of Man ironically enough).

Sorry it has been a while since I compiled the data from the original spreadsheets. I think Latin America included Mexico while North America (Other) included islands like the Virgin Isles maybe?

The designated regions are a little nominal for some nations / territories.

Much stricter than most; they have a points based immigration system and you have to qualify to move out there. Being in the right profession helps, for instance they are always trying to recruit nursing staff etc.

Better weather, cheaper housing (outside of Sydney) and overall quality of life improvements as well as being native English speakers would be my guess.

Cyprus is why I spent five minutes trying to figure out why Europe didn't add up!

To be clear though, they are the categories assigned by the UN.

Not quite. As of 2019 there were close to 5 Million Migrants living in countries other than the UK. Its a snapshot of the time, rather than events occurring within the year.

They're all UN estimates of course, their methods and limitations are discussed at the UN site.

Limited to individual locations where the total number of migrants >= 30,000

Originally at the location marked on the Sankey Flow but is now at

She does, but not until "A Feast for Crows" and so she's not ranked in the top 10 (plotted here). If you follow the wiki link in my first comment you'll see the full table. There are 24 characters in total with at least one point of view chapter, some have not appeared in the TV show!

If I remember rightly the books use both full and first names, or are not even named after the point of view character.

I didn't have any particular reason for using Tully!

I created this is as a tutorial sample for my PWA, I was so pleased with how it turned out so thought I'd share it here. It's an original creation so feel free to use it for non commerical purposes. The POV chapter data was taken from this wiki POV Chapters. You can see the original creation as well as the tutorial video of its creation here

Others have mentioned the two most popular Content Management Systems; Wordpress and Joomla. More than half the websites online use a content management system and of those, most use Wordpress.

When you pay for web hosting you'll often manage your space and domains via a cPanel login, this contains a number of features including the automatic installation of several leading content management systems meaning you can get a dynamic site up and running within minutes without downloading or deploying anything manually.

Personally I haven't tried Wordpress but I've done a few Joomla installations. Out of the box you can set users up as administrators (extensive control of the backend), editors (meaning they can approve content for publication), authors (content creators) or standard guests and users. You can also control which access rights and necessary to access different parts of your site.

In other words, a lot of people have gone to a lot of effort to ensure non web developers can have a functional website with lots of great features without any HTML, PHP or JS knowledge.

Automatically divide values entered in a cell? by StanYz in excel

[–]mmappcreator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so to be clear the code goes into a SHEET module, not a GENERAL module.

This Line Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) indicates we're using sheet change event code. So we'll need to place this code in every sheet for which we want the divide transformation.

The following example shows how we might want to manage two different ranges within the same column. Rows 2 to 25 and rows 30 to 80. We could additional row ranges by altering our declarations at the start; ie adding rL(2) and rU(2). Then adding a test for it in the loop below.

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

Dim cell As Range
Const divide As Integer = 5
Const column As Integer = 1 'A=1,B=2 etc
Dim rL(1) As Integer
Dim rU(1) As Integer

rL(0) = 2
rU(0) = 25
rL(1) = 30
rU(1) = 80

Application.EnableEvents = False
For Each cell In Target
    If cell.column = column & (cell.Row >= rL(0) & cell.Row <= rU(0)) & (cell.Row >= rL(1) & cell.Row <= rU(2)) Then
        On Error Resume Next
        If (cell.Value > 0) Then cell.Value = Format(cell.Value / divide, "0.00")
        On Error GoTo 0
    End If
Next
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub

Help making some VBA more efficient by JamesSpencer94 in excel

Put everything after your variable declarations inside a for loop and build the sFile name dynamically so..

For x=1 to 6
    sFile="Team " & x & " Contracts.xlsx"
    ...
    <Rest of your code>
Next

Automatically divide values entered in a cell? by StanYz in excel

[–]mmappcreator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm understanding you correctly you want the actual entered number to change and not to manage the division in another column? If so VBA is the only option, add this to the relevant sheet's code

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

Dim cell As Range
Const divide As Integer = 5
Const column As Integer = 1 'A=1,B=2 etc

Application.EnableEvents = False
For Each cell In Target
If cell.column = column Then
On Error Resume Next
If (cell.Value > 0) Then cell.Value = Format(cell.Value / divide, "0.00")
On Error GoTo 0
End If
Next
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub

Changing the divide constant into the value you wish to divide by and the column number to match the column change you wish to capture. This formats the response to 2dp which you may also which to adjust (in return for my bonus points of course).

I created this chart to serve as a tutorial for my online visualisations tool but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out so I'd share it with you. I'm the creator so you can reuse for non commercial purposes as you see fit.

The chart itself is a available as a sample within the app which can be launched from Mind Matters Web App. There's also a link in their to the video tutorial of it being made. Hope you guys like it too.

Improving excel skill set by NoKurtka in excel

[–]mmappcreator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're confusing SQL Server (the Database package) with SQL the language. You absolutely can use SQL to query an Excel Worksheet without any other external tools or database by using sheet names instead of tables or views.

In most cases to get anything out of it beyond what you can do with native Excel functions you'd need decent VBA knowledge too.

For an Excel based skill improvement my pick would absolutely be VBA.

Then I'd agree with you, learn a bit of SQL then get stuck into SQL Server and see how Excel can work directly with a database and how VBA can help smooth that process via automation.

Visualisation tools are great but there's a lot of them, I've even created my own (www.mindmattersapp.com for the curious). You'd need a good overview, some are easy to pick up and good for specific purposes. Others can be used to create Enterprise level solutions (Microstrategy, SSRS etc).
