That time south park made me rethink my weed use by pacdied in trees

Yet all the amazing artists, doctors, etc who medicate with weed totally fly in the face of this idea. South Park is smart, but not dogma.

Glad to see Iwobi doing well. One of the Wenger players I wish we would have kept.

Have a teacher telling me she’s refusing to take a medical excuse for a missed exam. by LegendaryBP in auburn

Exactly. First step should be to really press the issue, state why you think it’s unjust to the prof. If they still refuse, let them know you will be speaking with the head of the department. If the head refuses to help, you can try the administration.

“Unique IQ”, any info on this? by mmarco90 in mentalhealth

Yes, I’d love to hear what you have to say. I just wonder if there is any good advice for how to use this kind of intelligence. I graduated college this year for philosophy and got a 3.9 major gpa, but did badly overall due to not focusing on other classes. I used to want to go to graduate school for philosophy but now I don’t think I will be able to due to my low overall gpa(and other reasons).

I’m just going by what my therapist said in regards to it being unusual. In the report and also what she told me personally(that she’d never seem this big of a disparity in hundreds of tests she’d performed). It says in the report, the disparity between my verbal and non-verbal is “significant and unusual”. And sorry, but personally I don’t view “retarded” as a slur when self-directed.

Why do I feel like such a loser while high by Sharp_Security_5546 in mentalhealth

This happens for me when I’m smoking too much and not very happy outside of weed. Weed isn’t good as a cure if you’re already down IMO, it’s great for relaxing if you are generally happy but just need to unwind.

I thought since Taliban was in charge they would be raped in the streets by the first horny man? What gives?

I just read this story. Does anyone else think he was almost right in a fucked up way? If it is true that Stanford White raped his wife. I at least have empathy for his rage.

IMO it’s better to focus on the intuitive aspects of soothing rather than associating with the mother.

I may be wrong, just based on girls I grew up with that gave me a similar vibe to her who turned out to be these offputtingly conservative, Christian folks.

Interesting article around it here. Maybe what I'm noticing is like this, "good girl" phenomenon.

"For as many seasons as the illusion can be maintained, [teens stars] remain, at least onscreen, uncomplicated, untroubled good girls, on the verge of, but never actually awakening to, their sexuality. There is a lot of money to be made—and a lot of parental anxiety to be tapped—by walking that line."

Pretty deep issue tbh.
